Thanks Sandie for visiting my Tornado album! The tornado's direct hit was north of town (I live south of town), so the only thing here was a lot of wind, lightning, etc, and a big limb fell from a big oak tree on the west side of the house... it was quite a night. My 84 year old neighbor went to the courthouse and stayed in the basement there... she said it was crowded with people. I decided to stay home with my kitties. It was a miracle that a couple survived the complete destruction of a local baptist church. I sure do feel loads of compassion for everyone. My cat "Love" hasn't been well and the vet says she has Hyperesthesia, so I would appreciate you adding her to your prayers. Give Princess cuddles from me! God bless... Hugs, June

Sandra, thank you, Sweetie, for the lovely comments you made on my kitties Silver & Love! Silver is my oldest and Love is my youngest (Faith is in the middle). Yes, I keep my living room furniture all covered, so my cats get on it all and make it all their own. I find that a satin or silky-like cover is easier to keep clean and their hair does not stick to it. I love my kitties... they are family! Have a fantastic day, honey! God bless... Love & hugs, June

Hello Sandie, time is going so fast these days, before you know it, another month has passed. I am so sorry that I didn’t answer you sooner. I hope your husband health has improved? You asked about the safety belt Mickey was wearing in the car. It seems that in Germany it is a now a rule that dogs has to be in a safety belt on the back seat. We did it because we were afraid that 1) Mickey wouldn’t stay on the back seat, and 2) when you had to stop the car suddenly the dog would be pulled forward and would hurt himself at least. In the Netherlands it is not a rule yet, but people are talking about it to make it a rule. Dotties rittens are 8 weeks now and are gone to their new owners, except Yellow who will go next Tuesday to his new owner. Fern and Floris stayed with us. We also had planned a litter with Esja, and she finally got pregnant, but last week when the litter was due everything went wrong, and she had to undergo a Caesarian section which she survived, but her rittens didn’t survive. It was all very sad. Esja is still recovering. Because all of that we have been very busy the last 2 months. I am always struggling with my time. I am always glad to hear from you. Have a nice Sunday, Els

Sandie, Thank you for your kind message about my grandson. I'm so very sorry to hear about your husband. I will ask God to give you the strength that you need to carry on with all the extra tasks that you have, now that he is not able, and to keep your faith in God that he will, once again, grow strong, so that he might help you. May God bless you both, Diane

Hi Sandie; Would you belive that I was thinking about you and your husband not more then a hour ago. Must have beeeen about the time you wrote me.I think the black spots are a fungus but, I'll ck,. my books and let you know for sure. Anyway if it should start droping leaves make sure that you pick them up and throw them in the trash, don't leave them around your other roses.I'll get back to you tomarrow on that.I did't start driving until I was 21,went from an automatic to a three speed and then to driving a 13 speed semi. Watch out! It was quite an adventure ,one I don't want to do again. You and your husband have gone thru quite a lot, when Bear had his surgery he haden't had any problems until he went for a tredmill test. T

Hello Sandie, I am so happy for you that your husband has had his heart surgery and that all went so well. It sure has been a long wait. I hope your husband will have a full recovery and that he soon can do all the things he used to do before. I am also very glad that this picture helps you so much. As for me I lost my father at the age of 94 in April. He was not doing very well as from January. After his death my sister and I took care of my mother, because she could not stay alone in the house. A few weeks ago she was offered a nice little apartment in a home for the elderly, and she moved into it on July 9. Now I try to pick up my life again. Over here we have had a very warm pre-summer, but July has given us much rain. May be August will do better. Since 2 weeks we have a dog, Mickey, as a new companion. Mickey was left behind in Gran Canaria, and rescued by a lady who works with the Foundation Dogs without a Future. This foundation has also foster homes in Holland, and one of the foster homes is with a girl we know very well, and she took care of Mickey when he came to Holland. We saw his picture on her website, and we completely fell in love with the guy. I have made an album, called Mickey on my wely246 site. Wish you and your husband all the best, and I hope to hear from you how he is doing. Friendly yours, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hi Sandie; I 've been thinking about you all day today and know that all will go well Tuesday, your both in my prayers. The rose that you asked about is ava. at Jackson and Perkins roses( or at least one like it). Their here in the states but you might be able to get one from them. Or I can start one here for you and perhaps you can rec. it in Washington. How dose Canada feel about transporting roses across the border? I don't know how religious you are but when I need assurance I read the 91st Psalms it's given me comfort more then once.My best to your husband and you also to your family Loietta

Hi Sandie; rec'd. your note and can't help but wonder myself. you can bet the clothing was heavy, add corsets ,boneing corset covers and layers of cotton petticoats,at least three, one that would be light wool for summer and a heavy one for winter, long drawers, heavy stockings, hightop boots silk shawl or a wool shally for winter and don't forget the bonnets and all that long hair.which was a all day project to wash and dry,we won't get into curling it with hot irons, heated over an oil lamps.sometimes burning more then a finger or two. My mom used to have drawers of this stuff and it was great fun playing dress-up.and very heavy esp. for a ten year old. take care sweetie your in my prayers, Loietta
