Hi Bill, I have a question and hope you can help me. My camera uses 'memory sticks'. While traveling, if I need to empty them and save the photos, what are my options? Kind regards, Shirley
I can see that it must be late! My spelling is really off in the last message! It should have read: ...in my feature ALBUM not ABLUM.... lol Hugs, Lynn
Hey Bill, I just learned something new about you! I did not know that you and Pat geocached! How exciting can that be!? Thank you my friend for your kind words in my featured ablum from Friday, March 30th. The "Bodie in Black and White" album was such a joy to put together and it lends itself nicely to black and white as well as color. It is always a pleasure seeing your comments. Take care my friend! God Bless, Lynn
Hi Bill, I somewhat share your feelings toward Blue jays. If there is a bird with an uglier call, I certainly wouldn't want to hear it. They, however, do not rule the roost around here. Their aggression is easily matched by that of the Mockingbird (with an infinitely more varied and beautiful call) and by the Loggerhead Shrike, both of which are somewhat more tolerant of humans, but not of large birds and do not take any nonsense from Blue Jays. Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. We have visited the Bald Eagle nest site for the last three days and neither the adults nor the eaglets have been seen. This journey may be over!
Hi Bill, Thank you for your generous words on my Bald Eagles. I don't really know whether it is their interactions of my interpretation of them, but they seem to closely resemble those of a human family with young kids. That picture of the eaglet demanding food from mom was as close to a child having a temper tantrum as I have ever seen. By the way, I have seen the chicks catching a fish many a times. Unfortunately I never carry a camera in my dreams (LOL)! Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. When are you going to publish new stuff? We're all waiting.
Hi Bill, I found out today that I have a wireless connection to the internet and not satellite. I am so far behind all this technology and its jargon. We took a tour to Ireland and were not on our own. Neither one of us wanted to drive on the left, do round abouts, and etc. It is a must there that tour buses do the Ring of Kerry counter clockwise because of the road conditions. So maybe it is a good idea for us visitors to do the same. Did you go clockwise around it? I would love to go back, but not on a tour. One thing good about the tour was that our driver told us a lot of information AND STORIES. No, we did not spend the night at Adare Manor, although it was an option for anyone who wanted to on the last night there. It isn't a castle, and the two who did stay there said it was like a nice hotel and were disappointed. I think they were looking for the 'castle' experience. Thanks for all your comments. Shirley
Hi Bill, Just stopping by to say I found a small, new local company in my area that is something like having satellite for internet. The small dish at the house beams in on an antenna(or something)on a tower and that in turn gets its feed from a satellite. And I don't understand a word that I just said. All I know is that I now have some speed. I hope the company stays in business; we are pretty rural here. Even WS's slideshow works for me now. I have decided to use both WS and Fotki for now. I just wished that WS would solve the clarity problem they have. Fotki's photos are so much brighter and sharper...so I assume it is possible for WS to improve. It must be Spring where you live. We are still melting our snow. Take care. Shirley
Hi Bill, Thank you for your numerous and always encouraging comments on my Bald Eagles. There is one picture which I wish I could take, but I'm afraid that I'm doomed to wish in vane. If I could photograph one of them catching a fish, that would be grand. Unfortunately they always head in different directions when they leave the nest area and there are so many canals and so much inaccessible seashore here that I don't stand a chance, but it's nice to dream. Greetings from Cape Coral, Paul.
Hi Bill, Thank you for your very kind comments on by Bald Eagles album. I usually reduce and crop the images from 2000X3008 to 1067X1600. The image of the chick seems so large because I didn't reduce, I just cropped. I got such great illumination that the auto focus did a particularly good job and I minimized the ISO for minimum noise. That's why it seems like I used a longer lens, but no, it's still my trusty 70-300mm zoom. I got my second PC crash right after I had finished recovering from the first and I decided to replace the boot drive. I'm finally finished recovering from that one and I've started catching up on my backed up e-mails. I just wonder what plague will besiege me next! (LOL)ï
Hi Bill! Thanks for your visit and your kindly compliments on my albums.I'm always pleased when others enjoy my photos. In reply your question yes, lazarka4(Robert)he is my brother.Warm friendly regards from Hungary,Ildi
Thank you, Bill, for writing. I visited the Seattle area years ago and missed the chance to go to the Buchart Gardens, and didn't want to miss it this time. I was surprised that the flowers were in full bloom the middle of Sept. It is worth the trip there just to see it all.
Kathy
We are so limited in this space! lol Thank you my friend for the kind and gracious words in my Crater Lake album on Monday. Your visits are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Hugs, Lynn
Hello Bill! You know, there is more than one way to skin a cat! Guest books are currenly not working and I need to get all these thank you's done. I cannot believe that WS decided to go live on their new look right when I needed the old system more...
Hello my friend. I bet you think I have forgott about you, NOT! You must still be really busy. Got rid of all the sheep. Vet bills were awful! I have empty nest syndrom right now! lol Hugs my friend, Lynn
