Hi my friend. My first trip in this summer was with my colleagues to Viljandi and Karksi. The cultural region of Southern Estonia is characterised by scattered settlements – fields, patches of forest, marshlands, meadows and farms in between. This mosaic-like landscape reveals layers of different times and different cultures. While travelling in Viljandi County, you may expect to encounter something interesting from the past at every step. Our history is filled by foreign conquerors and the wars they have waged. Germans, Russians, Poles and Swedish – they have all left some traces in our landscape, language, memory, history and way of life. Sacred groves, burial grounds and sites of ancient hillforts still tell the story of the ancient freedom of our people, the legends of the giants Kalevipoeg and Vanapagan are still preserved in our memory. Of the stone castles and monasteries, which the Germans built when they conquered Estonia, sadly only wall fragments and grass-covered cellar vaults remain. Check out my new album. Hi Vratislav! A fantastic surprise to find my picture Yazd (Pictures from IRAN) as featured on the main page of Travel channel. I cant stop smiling its such a great pleasure to read all the wonderful and lovely messages from all over the world ! This my message is delayed because I have been traveling without possibility of long internet access for several weeks. Thank you so much for your visit to my photo album and for your congratulations. (btw. now I finished a new album creation on Little TIBET).
Hi Vratislav, many thanx for visiting my albums - the Avondale Chapel, the "Homestead" painting and my poor old flooded driveway. I have been in New Zealand for the last three weeks so have been unable to return the favour until now. I have so enjoyed your Prague albums - and I have just downloaded that glorious crown which you fotographed in Vienna. Have you done your dream holiday to the Austrian Alps, yet? Blessings,
Dear Vratislav, I am pleased that you visited my Vienna albums with your friend! It is a big compliment for me! I am sure that he will have a nice trip good times especially in Vienna! Best wishes, Vera
Hello Vratislav:
Thank you for your comments on Gen. George Patton. I happened across this museum while on one of my many trips to Southern California. I think of places like these as little gems I find when I explore. Exploration is one of my favorite things to do.
Take care and thank you for sharing your amazing finds as well.
Always,
Jira
Howdy, Vratislav, thanks so much for your kind comments on my Rocky Mountain High album! I have to ditto my friend Alice down there - I am heading out of town for a few weeks so I'll have to catch you later, my moto: never rush viewing an album even if it takes 2 years to get there, LOL. Have a wonderful day! Marita
Dear Vratislav, thanks for visiting my album! It's really nice to see you there. :-) I will be visiting your albums again very soon. I've catch a glimpse of them and the photos are fantastic! I will be viewing in more detail soon -- beauty is to be admired slowly... I'll be back! ~Alice

Dear Vratsab: Thank you for your kind words. Someone else took that picture for me, obviously, since I am in the picture. >=)
I finally purchased myself a high resolution camera. I noticed that I enjoyed amateur photography too much not to have one.
