Webshots apparently liked your idea of blocking live links ;-) Now most of the spammers have been crippled ,thanks for the suggestion ;-) We had found the code the spammers were using and turned it into webshots techs ,so that might have helped also ;-)

I liked your suggestion on blocking spammers by removing the ability to post links within messages ( photo area only ) . Sounds like a simple way to get rid of all the spammers . And it is only a small inconvenience to the other members because they can still place links on the main messages area . Which the spammers rarely use to do their spamming . I sent the idea to a couple concerned members and think we should all submit the Idea to webshots . I credited the idea to you when I posted the idea to them .

Hi Bernard! Here just for information a copy of the text that we have sent in the blog (but our texts are never published there, we don't know why...), and also to Jim: We found in the blog two very good ideas for the spammer problems. One from Jim (police370): to block guestbook entries except to friends until this problem is fixed (we just would miss the messages from other members than friends...); then from Bernard (volvob12): "...is there any way that messages can be made but not accepted if a web address is included?
