Hello Ute, I hope you will have a lot of fun in New York. I recommend you getting an unlimited ride metro card to get around.The card is good for all buses and subways and currently costs $8.25 for one day or $27 for 7 days or if you don't want an unlimited ride card then each ride will cost you $2.25(I think the 7day card is the best deal for you).Check out this site for some sightseeing tips http://www.nyc.com/visitor_guide/ and don't worry if you won't see everything you wanted to see. Dear Ute! Sorry if I reply in English, but it's much easier to me! Well ... 5 days in NYC are not so much, but you can actually do lots of things. My suggestions? If you have never been to the big apple, don't miss the following: The Metropolitan Museum of Art The Musuem of Natural History The Guggenheim The Moma To climb the Empire State Building To visit the Grand Central Terminal To walk from Fulton Street to the South Street Seaport and then via Wall Street to Battery Park To take the Ferry and visit Ellis Island (very touching and interesting) and (eventually) the Statue of Liberty To walk through Central Park To walk the 5th Avenue and Park Avenue in the Fashion district To take the boat tour around Manhattan If you have time ... to visit the Cloisters and o Brooklyn to watch Manhattan from the other side of the East River ... Dear Ute. Silly me..... Al I had to do is to check your profile and see that you live near Erfurt and Weimar I had vesit too....I don't know if I told you, but I was growing on the German culture. ( My parents where born in Viena Austria. ) so I love to discover again and again places of German history and places of German beauty. I was certain from your photos you are from somewhere near or at Frankfurt....The area of Turingen where you live is just a most beautiful place and more than expected. I had been there few days and Traveled from a small village to another one, having the feeling I"m the only tourist there.... Maybe next time....You will join me and my wife for typical Turingen diner with Gebrtene kartofel and and the best meat. RAN

Dear Ute. On sunday I will land in Frakfurt. I will get a car in the airport and I"m on my way to Hanover with my wife. I want to visit Munden on the way. I will stay in Hanover and then will go to Koopenhagen and Oslo in Norway. After a week in skandinavia, I will go back to Frankfurt and will stay in Cochem and Bacharach on the Rhein region. Is there a place you recomend I " mast" See on my way? ( I'm not going to visit Frankfurt this time, as I saw here many times.) Hugs - RAN
