  • Thank you for clarifying that for me David. William Coulthard must have been quite an entrepeneur in his day. Good luck with the new vintage, I look forward to visiting the winery one day soon to sample some of your wines. Stephen

  • Greetings David. Great Job with all the photos. thanks. I am researching the arrivals of early pioneers to South Australia. I notice that you have a photograph of the headstone for Patrick Boyce Coglin. Mayor, J.P. Publican, Pastoralist. Arr 1836 Lady Liverpool http://www.southaustralianhistory.com.au/coglin.htm and BISA may say so, I believe this is incorrect. According to "Migrant Ships to SA 1836-1860" by Ron Parsons, no ship by that name came to SA prior to 1860. SLSA are checking this out. When I receive a reply, I'll pass this on to you. cheers

  • Thanks so much. I'm gluing the picture into my project right now. my father is amazed at finding a picture of his great great great grandfather's gravestone, as am I. I am 13 years old and I am doing a project on my heritage. John hammat came from Cornwall, England in 1837 to be the captain of the Williamstown copper mine. Your picture has been so helpful. By the way, my father has been to your sister's winery. He says it is a pleasant experience. Thanks again. Bradie

  • Dave I am so glad you are not sat around twiddling your thumbs doing nothing. I am like you.. too many projects and nowhere near enough time. I thought about you when I was in the city the other day.. (taking Brian out into the real world for a while, he has been most unwell and is recovering from spinal surgery and other things, another reason why I do not have much time). Captured a very sharp, close up shot of the bee on the top of beehive corner and wondered if you would like to add it to your collection somewhere? Been trying out a new camera. if you do I can email it.

  • David I think the Kangaroo Club Badge is 1950s or earlier not 1960s. I worked at 5AD from 1959 and I never saw one like it. Also it only has 5AD 5PI on it. By 1959 the network was 5AD 5PI 5MU 5SE. The Kangaroo Club badge of the 60s was green enamel. Regards Bob Perry

  • Hello I was looking for information about a sailing ship The Glenpark which was built in my home town built by A Rodger & Company Port Glasgow, Yard No 323 Built: 1897 Ship Type: Sailing Vessel You have an image of what I believe to be the figurehead from this ship but you have her listed as being built in Glasgow. I am sure that this is one in the same boat and was hoping to be able to use the image on my local history site with credit and link back of course. It is to help finish this page http://www.portglasgow4u.co.uk/people/Roberts_Christie.html so you can see why I am so interested. Thanks for your time and hoping this will be ok with you. Carol
