Hi Lance, I hope you make it to Skara Brae and Skail House which is also at the same location. We did have a "full" holiday as you suggested, but it was a little too quick and organised for our liking. That's coach tours for you though. There are loads of very interesting and historic sites on the islands so we've decided to go back again with our own vehicle and stay for a few days. The ferry fares are far from cheap though. Despite it's faults the ferry & coach tour has given us a taste of what's in store.

Hi Lance, Glad you liked our Sweetheart Abbey album. It has such an endearing history. Lady D must have loved her husband very much to have carried his heart around with her all those years. Funny you should mention Melrose Abbey. Richard is researching lots of places in the Borders for our next holiday at the start of June. We posted an album of Melrose Abbey photos a long time ago, but Dryburgh, Kelso and Jedburgh abbeys are likely to be on his list.
