Trailtrekker2004, Happy Saturday. Would you mind if I used a couple of your Jordan Hot Springs photos on my website? You have a great photo I'd like to place along side of some new Sierra place names pages I am constructing for my website. I don't sell anything. My site is strictly historical. My Sierra place names pages begin at: www.owensvalleyhistory.co m/sierra_names1/page63.ht ml I'd be happy to add a link back to your website with proper credit. Thank you for your consideration, Ray DeLea raydelea@verizon.net

Loved all your comments on my sepia shots! It's a fun challenge and I found I enjoyed working with the sepia. Re the ice storm in Illinois - my mom was a California girl and she never learned to like the midwest. Consequently, we only lived there for 3 years after I was born and then moved back to the West. As an adult I have lived in several states in all parts of the US, as well as several foreign countries, but the West always will be home for me. Something about those clear blue skies and big mountains! Carole

Glad you liked my photos from the Three-Fingered Jack hike. This was a wonderful hike on a beautiful day. The hike is in the North-Central portion of the Oregon Cascade Mountains. The trail head is in the Santiam Pass (about 80 miles east of Salem, OR). A good portion of the hike is on the Pacific Crest Trail. Have a great day!

Glad you liked my Osprey pics! Well, to try and answer your question, I just followed a path that went a different way. I am happy here, but I sure think about the valley and the Sierra's a lot and miss the mountains very much (and the dry heat!) In fact, I am going to the Sierra's this Friday and am so excited. Going to visit my family out there for Mothers Day. Anyway, I think you would really like my E-book about the valley. Check it out if you get a chance at www.salinevalley.net

So many great albums! Thanks for sharing. I know it's a long way from you, but have you ever been to the Toiyabe Range in central Nevada or the Ruby Mountains near Elko? Or the colorful Last Chance Range between Eureka and Death Valleys? Keep on trekkin'!
