Hello Rob, nice to see you wandering through my albums again.. I understand about not taking pictures lately..I haven't either, new program at work that is full of bugs..(the new and improved version) what a joke. having to conference to keep my hours up for my job..babysitting so daughter and son-in-law can go on a cruise.. Whew!! well now maybe I can get back to taking photo's.. So when do you leave for China? You sure get to do a lot of traveling..Take lots of pictures...can't wait to see them..

P.S. Just opened my e-mail and saw the nice and humorous comments you left. Thanks. As you could probably tell the sun ray photos were taken through a tinted window heading into the sun and the other one you like was going away from it. The ones with the pretty shades of pink were the reflections from the west I think. Birmingham used to be the pollution capital of the south but it is much better now. No offense taken. We live just southwest of Birmingham. There was the most beautiful sunset today with a red fireball sun and of course I didn't have a camera. I am not always where I can get a clear view of the sunset so I hated to miss it. I will learn from my mistake.

Hi, You are welcome and I understand completely. I seem to never get caught up enough to do all of the things I would like to and I have not had a job outside of my home since the early 80's. Boy that sound like a long time ago. Probably because it was. ha.I bought a new camera and have not even learned how to use it very well. I thought it would be a lot like my old 35mm but I am realizing there is so much more to digital. I envy you getting to go to China. I always wanted to go there or Japan. So many of the things in my home are Oriental accents. I know you will enjoy it. I have traveled across this country by car three times and I do have some nice photos from then so I am trying to learn how I might do that. I will get down to the coast in a few weeks so maybe I can learn more then. Well life before hobbies, so we will enjoy and do what we can. By the way, your beautiful swan makes the loveliest wallpaper. It is so serene. Vicki

Hi Rob, I finally got around to viewing your albums from Ireland. Really enjoyed seeing the history and beautiful scenery. My husband is the one who gets to do the traveling. Since last fall he has been in Turkey, Guam and is in Romania this week. He doesn't usually get to sightsee very much and I can't even get him to take a camera anymore. Impatience from military training maybe. I am glad you get to see all of the wonderful things you do and share them with all of us. Vicki

I passed 100,000 views today. What a thrill that was! I remember when I began posting photos a year ago last week, that seemed an completely unattainable number. Thank you, all my dear friends who take time from your busy lives, to look at my photos and especially to those who are kind enough to leave such supportive, cheerful and sometimes humourous comments! You put a smile on my face every morning and I am more motivated to try to get outdoors, to get better photos, than if you were not there wishing me well! You all inspire me in so many and different ways. I have learned so much from your suggestions and from observing your styles and tricks as well as being inspired by the way you live your lives. You all have a keen eye and fine talent for a great photo, but even better hearts! We all crave a feature or a POTD, but a charming word of praise from a webshots friend means even more to me, on a bad day. All of you miraculously speak English, or make a marvellous effort and are so patient with us who do seem to take over the net and the world with our language. We have so much more in common than we have differences, even if we live in vastly different climates, circumstances and landscapes; love of learning, family, friends, curiousity, but most importantly, we all speak the universal language of the miraculous camera lens to illuminate our own lives as well as others.
