"Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawai'ian Christmas Day. Thats the island greetings that we send to you from the land where palm trees sway. Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright. The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night! Mele Kalikimaka is Hawai'i's way to say Merry Christmas to you..." Thank you for your support and friendship. I look forward to an entire new year of viewing your great photography. Have a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year! Clark from O'ahu.
Aloha from Hawai'i... I would like to extend a warm "mahalo" to you for your comments on my "USS Arizona" photograph. I have worked as the Military Liaison at USS Missouri on Battleship Row for almost eight years. During that time, I have had the very distinct pleasure to meet many of our World War Two veterans and so many of our fine young military people. With no doubt, Tom Brokaw absolutely hit the nail right on the head when he proclaimed the World War Two generation as "The Greatest Generation". In my opinion though, the young people serving in America's Armed Forces today are every bit as great. I am quite confident that they can and will rise to overcome any threat to our nation or to democracy anywhere in the world. In short, I sleep exceedingly well at night knowing that they have the watch. Please continue to keep our uniformed sons and daughters, serving around the world, in your prayers. They deserve nothing less… The photograph was taken from the end of Pier Foxtrot Five, where USS Missouri is moored, at about 5:00 in the morning. A hui hou… Clark
