Greetings from Alaska & Thank You so much for your visit and kind comments on my POTD featured photo. I was surprised to find the announcement in my email and all of the comments are humbling. The Eagles are my favorite majestic bird. Eagles are loyal birds and mate for life so when you see a big pair it is almost always male & female occasionally it will be parent and offspring. It takes many long walks and hikes alone on very cold days to find a good shot, this picture was shot with 200mm telephoto on a winter day the temperature was -5 f. “cold fingers & toes” Again Thank You & best wishes from Alaska, Dave

I have enjoyed seeing the beauty of Japan as you have captured it with your camera. I thought of you tonight when PBS aired video of Iwao Matsushita, who in 1919 took stills and movies of Mount Rainier.
