Dear Mike. My trip to Austria was a dream come true this time, because I was accepted to PHD studies in the Technical University of Vienna. And today is my birthday. I didn't go to Budapest, because I think that I'll be moving to Vienna soon and I'll have plenty of chances to travel all the Europe, and Zurich as well;) By the way, I heard from my austrian friends that Switzerland is VERY expensive, so that made me a little scared:) I amd just happy! Hi Mike. I had a look at train schedules. You are right, Budapest is a good idea for a weekend as it is only 3 hours by train from Vienna to Budapest. While it is more than 9 hours to Zurich:) Well, I hope I'll have a chance to travel to Switzerland some other time and maybe see several cities. Lets see what happens. Hi again Mike. Thank you for being willing to show me Switzerland. I would love to see it. The thing is that I applied for a PhD program in Vienna and have passed the 1st stage of the selection process. Now I'm called to Vienna for an interview. I plan to be in Vienna from November 4th to 8th. I had a look at the map. Switzerland is next to Austria. I'll have a free weekend in Vienna, but have no idea how a trip to Switzerland may be planned. I have been to Vienna 4 times already, so I have already seen the best of it and would love to see something else. Take care, Gayane

Hi, I forgot, about the camera you're looking to buy - I own a Sony DSC-R1 now, stationary lens (Carl Zeiss 24- 120) they don't make that anymore - but it's simply awesome for the little money I paid for it. Now I am looking for a new one too so, maybe a Nikon-D-90 with a 18 - 200 lens, but that may be too spendy ($700 for the body and $ 700 for the lens). You can get the older Nikons for a fantastic price, like the D80 or D40. Good luck with shopping and may the Christkind be very good too you! ;D.. Cheers. Marita

Hi Mike, thanks for looking in on my dust storm album, and your comment. To answer your questions (I've been away, hence the delay): most people stayed indoors, the dust was thick, it got in the eyes and caused a very dry throat. I spent about two hours out in the storm and still have sore eyes and sinus problems. The storm only lasted one day, but last Saturday when I was travelling in the west of my home state, we had another dust storm. I drove in that storm for about three hours with the car windows up and the air conditioning on. I will soon have new albums from my trip to the mining town of Lightning Ridge; a real step back into the days of the wild west. Greetings from Keith.

ha,ha,ha the day we meet up in Paris - well, lets just say, after that, the city will NEVER be the same, grin, grin :D!!! I did think you were using a different camera, wasn't quite sure so. Did you like the Nikon D70 you used?? It must have been quite a change since that is so much more heavy than your little fine pix. I have two cameras I used all the time, my 3 year old SONY- DSC-R1, weighs 2.2 pounds!!!!, and has a 24-120 Zeiss lens and a CMOS processor (but a fixed lens) and my little "pocket" Panasonic DMZ-TZ3, with a 28-280 Leica lens. Sometimes I just have a really hard time lugging around that heavy Sony, especially when I walk a lot or am like here in Houston in such an extremely hot and humid climate where the weight of the camera just kills you. And I love the zoom on that Panasonic, 280mm is quite the range, I can take every little bird off the tallest tree. But the image quality is quite superior with the Sony. I will eventually buy a REAL DSLR camera but am waiting for a reasonably priced one with a nice range lens, I need a wide angle and and a big zoom without having to take 2 - 3 lenses around, I like to travel lightly. For example in Paris, every day I would walk between 10 and 15 kilometers, lol, that's a vacation for me :D!! Cheers Mate! Marita

Thanks for your comments .I just finished upload all my selected 279 pictures (out of 1041 ) I set my camera on 1/500 sec, and on sport setting my ISO went high sometimes .Stayed on one place or 8 hours .There were a Brazil group also .Never seen Rio de Janeiro carnival in live but it is something same .Have one acidental video considering to upload
