Jane - Truth be told, I bought the property I now live on (as bare land) the same day that I visited it for the first time. What sold me ? Out at the Pond (which only had about a foot of water due to the drought) there were DOZENS of species of dragonflies ! (Including the Roseatte Skimmer, whose males are fluorescent purple !) I have had a soft spot for dragons since I was born, as the Summer I was born my parents built a cottage on a Lake in Northern Michigan and we had dragonflies & waterlilies there. Yes, I am Blessed to live on this 3 acres of paradise ! Hugs - Pat
Thank you so much for that very lovely message..it meant a lot to me :-))Just goes to prove, if you post enough photos..some of them get looked at LOL!!! I really do love it! And I love looking at your wonderful shots.. keep em coming :-) xoxox
I passed 100,000 views today. What a thrill that was! I remember when I began posting photos a year ago last week, that seemed an completely unattainable number. Thank you, all my dear friends who take time from your busy lives, to look at my photos and especially to those who are kind enough to leave such supportive, cheerful and sometimes humourous comments! You put a smile on my face every morning and I am more motivated to try to get outdoors, to get better photos, than if you were not there wishing me well! You all inspire me in so many and different ways. I have learned so much from your suggestions and from observing your styles and tricks as well as being inspired by the way you live your lives. You all have a keen eye and fine talent for a great photo, but even better hearts! We all crave a feature or a POTD, but a charming word of praise from a webshots friend means even more to me, on a bad day. All of you miraculously speak English, or make a marvellous effort and are so patient with us who do seem to take over the net and the world with our language. We have so much more in common than we have differences, even if we live in vastly different climates, circumstances and landscapes; love of learning, family, friends, curiousity, but most importantly, we all speak the universal language of the miraculous camera lens to illuminate our own lives as well as others. I hope I have forgotten no one.Merci beaucoup! Vielen Dank! Bedankt! Merci villmahl! Diolch yn fawr iawn! Grazia! Grazie! Spasibo! Dziekuje! Ahéhee'! Muchas Gracias! Çok sagolun! Baie dankie! Yes, I just looked at my old comments on the cardinal picture with the pink tree. How perceptive of you to remember how much I liked pink and red. Two of my favorite colors together. I love raspberry too and used to wear it a lot. But my favorite color of all is green and your thistle picture has both green and pink in there which I love. Great photo! Have a great week, too! Hugs, Michelle
Hi! I have received the message about a photo stolen from you. I am sorry but that photo was featured, not yours. I don't really browse much. I believe that there is an option "flag this phot as inappropriate" or something. Sorry! Have a nice day!
MY Dear Jane,
Thank you very much, it's been a bit of a year so far, in & out havingt thing taken out ^& radiated, but I'm still taking picswhen I ca,
I am going to have a break in a couple of weeks, thought we'd go the the South of france to get some Sunshine.

Love malcolm xx
You may not believe this..but it is not the first time that looking at a goose, made people think of ME hahahah!!! I love them too, so to me it is a compliment. They have been flying back home here, like crazy the last few weeks..but I have such a hard time getting a good shot of them flying over..way too fast for me! We still have some snow on the ground..though most of it is gone and in just over a week. Its just the lower back garden that is still covered..it never gets enough snow to thaw it properly. So glad you enjoy my comments, I sure do enjoy your photos and your answers!! Hugs, Donna xox
Oh Jane..I am so pleased that you liked the card!! How have you been?? I hope you are surviving the winter ok. Its been rough here.. I live with my dad and he has been in and out of hospital since end of november. Right now he is home and improving, but has lots of surgery and such ahead of him. Too much snow..but it looks pretty so that's ok :-) Hugs Donna
Dear Jane, Thank you so much for all of your encouragement and friendship in the past year. I wish for you the Peace and Joy of this Christmas Season and remember the reason for this beautiful Season is: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:5. Hugs and Best Wishes, Marion
Hi, Jane. And Merry Christmas! I appreciate your comment on the picture of Willie and Chloe. Sadly, Willie passed on in May. We have a new cat, Blackie Boy, who (as you might guess) is almost solid black. So we are a 2-cat family again. You may have noticed him on the cover of the "Playing with Cats" album. I see that you are also a retired English teacher. I graded papers for 30 years--and maybe even taught a little English along the way! Happy New Year! Warmly, Barbara
Hello Jane,
Just to let you know that Malcolm is coming out of Hospital tomorrow, & will be touch as soon as his able, but from Him & myself have a very Happy Christmas & a Happy new Year.
Love sally
Dear Jane! Thank you for your comments on my CC entries a few weeks ago! Unfortunately due to lack of free time I spend little to no time on Webshots lately therefore my responses are usually late. But I appreciate every message I get. So thank you once again! Have a great Sunday and a wonderful Holiday season! Greetings from the Big Apple ~ Lina.

I love your talent for composing!! I have to give you some of the credit for sharing your wonderful gift!! Keep on snapping, Jnet
Thanks for writing a message to me, answering my questions. I recently tried to shoot some portrait. I found the most challenging aspect is to manage the person to take appropriate pose. If u are free, u r welcome to check it out, and any feedback to help me improve is highly appreciated.
Thank you Jane for visiting again. This time to my Bald Eagle album. It was a wonderful day floating around the lake shores in canoe, and coming upon these magnificent birds. Thank you as well for your kind comment. Always appreciated. John
