  • Thanks a lot Steve for accepting my friendship and offering your "Amistad", its an honor :) From your message I see you visited most of all the North of this country, Madrid is wonderful and from South I specially love Granada, that has a splendour difficult to forget, its almost magical... What Coolpix do you use? my first one was L3, the pixs you commented were made with an L5 and my actual one is a P80 (windmills, spider garden and Spanish horses albums were made with this one), I am not an expert one JUST hooked to Nikon :) and being afraid to make a step further to a more professional & expensive camera... yeah women!   • Hi Steve, Just saw a slide show of your Santa Clarita fire...Nice work...totally awesome picture diary...I use to live in the San Fernando Valley and I remember Many times when the hills were on fire and were being rained on by ashes. It was always a time when only the very wealthy were affected since they were the only ones that had homes and property there.... We have nothing like this where I live now (Minnesota) and I'm glad we don't...I hope you and yours are safe and don't lose anything over probably some kids saying "hey its windy, Let's start a fire" Dennis (chridenp)

  • Hi Steve!! I am thrilled and honored by your invitation!! Thank you so much ... as to your comments about Olympia ... my understanding is that the fires got very, very close ... practically right up to the museum, which was on one end of the grounds and in a lovely grove ... but that the museum remained unhurt. I don't think any of the other parts of the grounds were harmed, either. Olympia was actually one of the most beautiful, exciting parts of the trip. So much to see ... and plenty of time to see it. I'm glad you enjoyed the album!! Very best regards ... your new friend ... Lois
