Hi Stan,my dear long friend here on WS.Forgive for not have been active for the past year by not visiting your albums.I have been diagnosed 10 months ago with a Brain Tumore and Hydrocephylus.Prior to that I was already not doing well. Three months ago I had Brain Surgery at UCDAVIS but it's a very slow recovery.I miss all my friends here on WS. It has opened a wonderful world of friends here who have inspired me to do better photography. I hope & pray that,God willing, that you will not give up on my. Thank you for all your support friend and I did enjoy you photographing Lodi's events this year,thank you for that!warm greetings from your friend here in Lodi,~Thea:-)p.s. Stan,I am computer illiterate and I don't mind admitting it. My point being that I would love to be one of your friends on Webshots so that I could make one of your pictures my background. No matter what I do I can't seem to get it to take. I am a born and bred Californian, Sacramento, who currently resides in Oklahoma. I at one time lived in what used to be the small logging town of Feather Falls. In 1975 when I was ten years old I managed to get away one hot summer day and hike all the way into the falls. It was incredible and breathtaking to wittness this wonderful display of nature. When I was nineteen I took my then girlfriend to the falls and she almost freaked out on me. I had her wait on the platform while I hiked around to the dropoff. There is a rock that juts out from the side, as I know that you are aware, that I sat on while I looked over into the abyss. When I got back around to her I could see that she had been crying and was even then still shaking, so scared had she been over the prospect of me going over the edge. After I calmed her down we were able to resume our wonderfull outing. I have so many memories of this area and your pictures have helped bring them back to me. Is your picture, " Down in the Valley Rapids" taken directly below the falls? We, my wife and I, have been admiring your other albums as well and they are undeniably just as impressive.
