Dear Jenny, thanks for your messages re.: my Morocco albums. You're asking many questions - hope not to forget anything: Yes, it's rose buds on the spices market, but I'm not sure what they use them for. The main monuments, the golden palace doors might give you the impression of a clean place... well, don't be fooled by "postcards"! Morocco is a mostly dusty and poor country, and very far away from being "a clean place" for our standards. As Morocco has been a French colony for quite a long time, people still learn French there at school. Most of them have an acceptable command of the French language, so for me there is no problem to communicate with them. But their native language is (mostly) Arabic. Generally speaking you could say they are friendly and helpful. Getting around is not a problem. But especially in the touristy areas there are many people who want to take advantage of foreign travellers and offer them plenty of services - like showing the way, pointing out a monument, carry your luggage or whatever - for a tip, even if you don't ask for or you don't want such a service. Anyway: an extremely interesting and great country to travel around! Thanks for pointing out the imagekind page: I'll check that out. And if you want to use any of my pics for your sketches, please feel free to do so. I'd just like to see the result - if you publish it. Thanks again and kind regards from Switzerland! Mike

Thanks for commenting on my Union Canal Album. The Union Canal I have picture of is in Lebanon,PA. Central PA area. It was actually the last time I also had gotten out to take some photographs. Dear Jenny, again you've found some nice words and kind compliments for my pictures - thanks so much! As a matter of fact, photography is just a hobby for me and I've never sold a single picture in my life. But I wish I would have learned this business and I could do it professionally... Berlin is one of those cities I love the most, and a very special place for me. I've been there quite a few times; the first time must have been in 1988, about 1 year before the wall was torn down. Short after the re-unification of Germany I came back and found a completely different city. Ever since that time, Berlin went through tremendous changes. Never ever anywhere else I had this feeling that history is not something to reed in some books, but something to touch, something that's happening while we are living, an ongoing exciting experience with some very emotional elements.... Thanks again for your interest and very best regards! Mike

Dear Jenny, I thank you so much for your kind comments and I'm happy if my pictures gave you some pleasure. I had the chance to travel a bit throughout my last 20 years and yes, I've been to Florida, too! I stayed in Miami for a few days, saw something about the Keys and continued towards New Orleans..... Time flies: that was back in 1997: 10 years already - unbelievable! I'm sure there would be much more to see in that area. Who knows, maybe I'll be back there one day. I'd be honored to be your friend: just send me the "make friends"note, and I'll confirm it immediately. Thank you so much and very best regards from Zurich / Switzerland. Mike
