I also only live a couple of miles from Chisholm Park and walk there several days a week (I was there this morning), is a very nice place to spend time, walk, fish (if you are a fisherman, I am not), feed the ducks or whatever......A very pretty place.....Bill Strouse AFChief38@aol.com

I agree with your comments on the Texas Theatre, I think the restoration is completed and will be opening soon, maybe open now, not sure......As a kid in the 1940's, early 50's I use to go there on Saturday Mornings (I lived in Oak Cliff then, near Sunset HS) as they had special programs for Kids back in those days......Bill Strouse AFChief38@al.com

Many years ago the City of Dallas annexed all the land that would become NAS Dallas/Hensley Field and all the land that is now Vought Aircraft which as you probably know use to be Chance Vought/North American Aircraft/Temco/LTV and McDonald Dougls (I think) and now Vought again.....Although it is sitting in the middle of Grand Prairie it is really in the City of Dallas and of course Dallas is getting the tax's off of it....Bill Strouse

The Fair Park Swimming Pool was just to the Right (North) of the Old Mill Inn which is of course, still there. I never swam there but remember seeing it while at Fair Park back in the late 40's early 50's.......Bill Strouse

You are right about the JU-52, it was used around the world for many, many years. Seems like the Spanish kept producing it into the 50's or early 60's, can not remember for sure....If you have'nt yet, take a look at my new album about German Aircraft, I have quite a few pictures of a pristine JU-52 there.....was at the National Museum in Munich......Bill Strouse AFChief38@aol.com

Hi Steven, yes, I posted my concern and I think I opened the proverbial 'can of worms'. I have not received an e-mail from Webshots or AG. I feel now, that for any users wanting to turn 'pro' this may be a serious concern. The rest of us just want our work protected. ... Judy

Thanks for your suggestion. I will estimate the terms of Flikr and Smugmug. Is not important for me to pay more than Ws. I do not ask a compensation for my photos, but I ask alone the respect for the copyright. Monica

Steven - thanks for your comment on the Grove Park Inn in Asheville. It must be a beautiful place to stay and I heard their spa is wonderful - pretty expensive though. Our hostess treated us to a 'simple' lunch ~ delicious crab cakes and a large side salad plus a glass of wine for each of us (3) was $140.00. Go and enjoy! *smile* ... Judy

Thank you for taking the time to visit and comment on my picture of the day, "Sunset on the St. John's River". To answer your question, it is the I-295 Buckman Bridge in the background. The photo was taken from a public boat dock in Mandarin. Thanks again, Candis

Thank you for your comments on a few of my photos re: the Love Road Neighbors, et al. You have well assessed the situation, but it seems the church's parking lot activities are progressing at this point. Regarding the flood waters, that incident is called 'Storm 2006' which has been regarded as a 500-year flood. El Paso has never before experienced such flooding and massive destruction since such records have been kept.

Hi Steven, thank you for commenting on my Mud Vulcanoes photo. Such phenomenon it's also associated with tectonic subduction zones which is the case in Romania. Best wishes, Maria

"Is this the same storms that spawned the tornadoes across the Metroplex that day? There were about six touchdowns that day, with one tornado hitting the Fort Worth-Haltom City border causing heavy damage and, unfortunately, killing one man." ---Yes, that picture and the others were of that same terrible storm. They were taken in my back yard in Waxahachie, TX.

Thank you Steven for your kind words a couple of days ago on my Travel POTD of Grand Teton National Park. I had checked a park map and new that the barns were on the southeastern side of the mountains, so I knew that early in the morning would be the time for the best shots. We were there early each of four mornings to catch the sun as its light first hit the barns. On two of the mornings, it was heavily overcast and the pictures weren't worth the flash memory that the used up. On the other two mornings, there was just magical lighting and the pictures just took themselves. The second I saw the shots in my view screen I knew I had caught something special, but viewing them on my computer was still three weeks away. Needless to say, I was eager and thankful. Best wishes from Florida, Paul.

Dear Smartinfto, You missed the date on the map page. These pics were taken at the 2000 Peach Festival. Yes, we've been to Fort Worth many times. One of my best friends lives in Euless and has a T-shirt that says "Fort Worth, I Love You!" which she proudly wears almost everywhere! We lived in Dallas for 11 years and Colleyville (near DFW)for 11 years. Also Ed and I are Native Texans, he is 4th generation, I'm 5th. I'm very familiar with the Tarrant County Community College System. I taught nursing In Dallas for many years and have good friends in the nursing department there. I am a UTA grad (RN to BSN program (1995) and Masters (1998). My Ph.D. (2002)is from TWU in Denton. Ed went to Sam Houston in Huntsville (B.S.) and got his Masters at U of H. Our daughter has her B.S and M.S in Comp Sci from UNT. Good luck with your schoolwork. I know it may be difficult, but it is well worth it. Thanks for all the nice words you said about our album. Hope you look at more of our albums at EdandHelen and also check my site Drhhelen. Enjoyed your National Parks album. My albums may be of interest to you, as they are on the same subjects. Thanks again for your nice words. They are appreciated. Dr. Helen of Drhhelen and EdandHelen

Hi, you have a nice collection of albums and I see we have been to a lot of the same places. Actually, we have more in common. I'm a retired IT professional and when I worked in downtown Dallas, we used to live on the Tarrant County side of Carrollton, TX. P.S. Thank you for your generous comments on my Florida Birds album, but I must disagree: Unique or not, there is nothing uglier that a Wood Stork, not even a vulture (LOL).

Thank you for your comment on my ETC Girls album. Three pictures are not ok. This is a problem of Webshots. I will correct this.
