Hi, I was reading you message about the ferns and that you have planted some. Make sure they are in shade most of the time and mist them a lot. I lived in the Redwoods of California for almost 25 years and what I noticed was the ferns that were in the shade and were moist all the time where big and lush, but the ones that were in the sunlight did not do as well. If you have ever had a fern in a bathroom you will know what I mean, the reason they get so big and lush is they are not in the sunlight and they get a lot of moisture. Please post some of your pictures of your fern (like before and after), I would love to see them. Kathy

Hi SJ, re your message for my making comments on the Pro's, you're welcome! Before, I used to have a fear of making comments until someone else did, then there came a time when no-one did, so I just decided to make comments and hoped someone else would add to them. Now, I like to make comments to show why I like or dislike the photos. If I really don't care for them, I just won't comment. Wow, do I get windy! :0) Katherine

Just found your question as to how close I was to get that Ibis. Walking on the boardwalk flushed out three of them and this one landed on a limb about ten feet away. If my 'pocket' camera had not been on, I would never had caught him. Exif data says: Canon SD850 IS, F/5.5, 1/200 sec., 23.2 mm.

Hi SJ: I knew that I would miss someone. I talked with Ingrid today and he is doing better with the new meds. But he is still so very weak and not able to stand on his own. He is so weak that he cannot hold the phone receiver. The doctors are still hoping to get him into a rehab to gain some strength. If he is able to stand and move around on his own he will be able to come home. This is our main prayer at the moment. So very sorry that I missed you but you are now on my list. Thank for letting me know....Anna
