hi there the lb 76 in the photo may not possibly be the first one ? we used to have a shunter years ago the reg number was LFD 400E we were told that this was the first into the country as a propar short tractor unit ? any help on this would be apreciated

Hey shaun, Yes it was taken there. I rang them up on friday, but the guy i needed to talk to wasn't there, so They told me to call back on monday. They might be able to tell me if they are going to be in it this year. Will Keep you posted. Thanks.x

Hi, I am reserching Manton Motors who manufactured trucks in croydon from 1946-1957. They sold these trucks under the name "Rutland" and exported them under the name "MTN". I came across your picture of a "Rutland" van and your comment that they were more famous for making buses.I wondered if they were in some way connected and if you had anymore info on this rather wonderful laundry van!
