Hi, Ruth! I see you found the location of the orchid nursery in my orchid album. I just walked through the place and took as many photos as I could. I wasn't sure if the owners would approve. Derek, being a professional, is quite possibly allowed to move the plants. I wouldn't even think of asking or doing this. He told me when he photo-ed Fallingwater he used a ladder! lol Needless to say, this was not MY experience there! ~Jade

Hi, Ruth, What a surprise to see your comment mentioning Derek Fell! Sorry I missed you, but I was there May 13, 2006. Yes- lol, I bought one of his books. Figured it was the least I could do! We totally enjoyed meeting him. When it poured, he gave me directions to the nursery where he photographs orchids. I have an album of that too. We spent our vacation in PA in 2006, and I have photos for 13 WS albums from this trip. Only 7 are done. My albums are arranged from north to south, W to E. I visited your website and found your beautiful pictures! Your Winter Wonderland reminded me at once of David Lorenz Winston's Solitude. I guess you are familiar with Derek's website-? Hi Ruth, I trust you are well. It has been a long time since we have been in contact. That particular picture was taken along Route 113, but not sure where along the way.Probably between Bedminster and Blooming Glen. It has been a pretty autumn here in Augusta, despite the lack of rain and how dry it has been. Give a Hello to Bucks County for me!! Thanks. groberts

Yes.....the water at Herrs Mill did indeed look green, thanks to a covering of duckweed and a bit of algea. It is located in Lancaster County, Pa.....just a short distance outside of Lancaster. And yes....it does have a waterwheel. :-) John

Yes Ruth.....I did know about the lack of water in the canal currently. In fact, parts of the canal have been waterless for years now. I know the last time I was in New Hope (over 2 year ago now)....parts of the canal in that area had no water. So yes.....I was lucky to get that shot. Lots has changed with me....I am now living in northwest central pa. I have at times taken a look at your photos.....and you are doing great. I hope the business looks half as good as the photos.
