I am using MEDIAFIRE.COM as storage media for our PDF and Microsoft Word Files. This is another open source that we could utilized for a better transparency.
Whats on file: (Jan.16,2007)
a)Bulletin VI: AMDA Multi-national Medical Mission (Emergency Relief) for Typhoon Durian, Philippines
Heres the link to view the file: http://www.mediafire.com/?eod2mmmzed2
Just to feed-in everyone
THE (WHAT / HOW / WHERE / WHEN = ACTION)
WEBSHOT - We're using this open source software for two (2) main reasons:
a)ITS OPEN SOURCE / NO COST to us - Its FREE!
b)Coordinate efficiently our efforts and OPEN the CHANNEL of COMMUNICATION - NO WAITING TIME. We dont have to wait for website ADMINISTRATORS to update it. Practically, participants WILL BE ADMINISTRATORS of their OWN --> LETS USE IT!!
c)Opens TRANSPARENCY - Everything is out in the "air"...POST your blogs, pictures, comments and even post the amount of money we raised.
d) Its FULL of ACTION - Lots of VERY useful TOOLS! From emailing links, pictures, invite potential volunteers starting from family members, friends, etc. who would like to participate and CONTRIBUTE in helping the victims of Region 5.
OTHER TOOLS I WOULD LIKE TO RECOMMEND:
a)Yahoo Chat - theres a new feature under YAHOO chat - TEXT messaging system for FREE!! - If you would like to know more and wanted to get away using or paying for sent or received text...you can use YAHOO CHAT.Let me know if your interested to use this tool. I will brief you how to use it in contacting your family members in the Philippines. Just email me. (hotcitywireless@gmail.co m)...remember its FREE!!
b)SKYPE - another great tool for voice, video and chat - email me if you want to know more. (hotcitywireless@gmail.co m)
c)SAHANA - Our finest Disaster Management Relief Systen. Lets use it!
More to come.
thanks

I am sure we have a lot of things that needs to be covered. Posting your blogs/comments will surely...KEEP THE BALL ROLLING:>))
We've seen, viewed pictures and read lots of news how super typhoon Durian devastated Region 5. Heres are some of the questions I would like to raise:
a)SPECIFICALLY where are these communities. (names of towns) b)What are the plans for these victims? c)What are the relief efforts handed over to them? d)HOW are we going to reach out to them? e)WHO or CAN we get a contact person that we'll be trustfully assign the task? f)On WHAT grounds/basis are we going to make a decision in selecting a community that will create a big impact to the MOST needy?
Pls. post or add in your comment(s) and feel free to submit your views. Looking forward to it.
