Ray, Thanks for the comments on my Oscar Mayer Weinermobile album. To answer your question there were five seats if I remember correctly and a flat carpeted deck in the back, but don't quote me on it. All of the seats were the embroidered captain's chairs. The fun part is that the cieling was painted like a cloudy sky. Hope you can see it yourself one day. Thanks again - Tim

Hi Ray, I just wanted to let you know that I added a few more images from this weekend to my Oscar Mayer Weinermobile album. Based on earlier comments I thought you might enjoy them. -- Tim
Hello Ray, What a surprise to see a guestbook entry at Fotki from you. I am sorry to say that I left Webshots over a year ago due to numerous issues there involving management as well as member issues. I do a lot of contest entries at Fotki, but I also have a homepage at EyeFetch that is more in the line of critiqueing of ones images. Don't spend much time there as of late. Hope all is well with you. I am making another trip to Yosemite in September. This past year, my friend and I went to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Wonderful trip. Take care, Lynn
"Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawai'ian Christmas Day. Thats the island greetings that we send to you from the land where palm trees sway. Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright. The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night! Mele Kalikimaka is Hawai'i's way to say Merry Christmas to you..." Thank you for your support and friendship. I look forward to an entire new year of viewing your great photography. Have a wonderful holiday season and a happy New Year! Clark from O'ahu.
Hi Ray! Wow! I was so thrilled to come home today and find out I had
an album featured yesterday!! I want to thank you so much for
your visit and kind comments! May God bless you! Barb
Thanks Ray for your comment on the step tank pic, if you are interested in reading about it, please check my blog entry at http://avisojourn.blogspot.com/

Hi Ray, thank you for visiting my "Adams River" album. These are spawning sockeye salmon which have travelled hundreds of miles from the Pacific Ocean to return to the fresh water spawning grounds of the Adams River in BC, from which they were hatched. They turn the crimson color during their journey up the river. It really is incredible to witness this event. If you're interested, visit this link to learn more. Thanks again for visiting my albums. www.bcadventure.com/murph ys/adamsriver/salute.htm
Hi Ray, How are you? Thanks for the kind words in my albums. I'm sorry I haven't been by to check your albums lately. I have been very busy. I hope to come and spend some time soon. In the mean time, I publish a couple of high quality email publications ("Virtual Journey"...pictorial journeys to cool places and "Clearly Now?" ...interesting photos and matters of interest). They are distributed to lots of a non-Webshots people and Webshots friends and fans around the world. I do it for the benefit of my photographic hobby and that of my Webshots Friends. If you share your email address with me, I will add you to their distribution list. Your Webshots Friend, Rick/Arizona.
Ray, I'm glad you liked the Bodie album. I've been there 5-6 times over the last 11 yrs. It continues to change, and yet stay the same. There were three photo classes there while I was and numerous families. It's big enough that you can just go the opposite way if you're trying to take photos. You'll enjoy the visit either way. They have nice restrooms and a picnic & camping area for overnighters. Bodie takes a good day to really see and a lot of walking.
Thanks, too, for the nice comment. I have a nicer camera than on other visits, and try to think outside the box nowadays. It's made me see things totally differently. If you liked the photos in this album, you'll probably enjoy the ones also taken in Bodie in another separate album called Through the window. They were all taken through dirty windows, but with the shade of a hat and the benefit of software, I was able to take advantage of the lighting.
If you want to go to Bodie from Sacramento I think you could go through Carson City and south through Bridgeport, CA. Right after you leave Bridgeport there's a well marked road to the left. the weather is poor in winter-it makes a perfect spring or better fall trip. So many places to see, so little time. I visit a lot of ghost towns and towards the end of the month I'm going to the Bristle Cone pines in the White Mtns. This weekend I'm attending a Renaissance Fair in Bishop CA. *Laura*
Ray,
Thanks for all the comments. Just a few notes ...
The M42 pictures was with my old camera which has an 8" exposure limit and was taken afocally. I need to get up early some day soon and take a prime focus image with my new D40.
The Weinermobile was at the local Holiday Inn for the better part of a week so I managed to take pictures a couple of mornings and one evening with the family. The kids liked it although I don't think they realized how special it was.
Thanks again,
Tim
Hi, Ray. It's taken me some time to prepare my Great Reno Balloon Race 2007 album, but it is done and up for viewing as you requested. Sacramento isn't so very far from Reno- you should try to make it to next years event. (I drove 2 1/2 hours myself.) I've been to the Walla Walla one 20 years ago, and caught a small portion of the Albuquerque one. There are no fences or anything; you can get really close to the balloons; and the people are all really nice. This year had a record turnout of people. (That's the only downfall- you can't really take many photos on the ground without people in them.) You just have to be careful to not step on the balloons when the owners are preparing for the dawn takeoff. We got up at 3:30 am and left at 4:15, parked behind University of Reno and walked the few blocks. if you go, bring a flashlight, but don't miss the Glow Show and Dawn Patrol. Words and even photos can't really capture being there. thanks, Laura
Hi Ray! Many thanks for you visit to my Croatia album, and your kind remarks! Very best regards ... Lois

How kind of you to write so kind a remark! The flood of emails and messages surrounding my third place challenge entry for sunrises/sunsets just happened to coincide with a very busy portion of my work schedule, resulting in my being unable to respond in a timely way to all who were kind enough to write, but I DO appreciate your words of encouragement. There were may photos in that challenge as good or better than mine, but I appreciate the recognition, especially from my fellow photographers from around the world. Thanks for helping me celebrate this very special event. Regards, Fred in Tennessee
