Hi Ran, I really appreciate all you worthy comments on cameras and as I said we all learn from each other, and yes I have heard from others that the sigma lenses are just as good and not near as expensive, so I am considering another purchase soon. Absolutely no offence taken at all Ran, as I truly appreciate your candid remarks...take care now,friend...Larry

Hi Ran, I just popped by to discuss your remarks...You took a great risk by shoting with 300 mm' focal length of lens. The shot is okay , but you need a stabilizator or giving up and using your lens with less focal length that it is possible to alleviat your lenss....I agree I have not had this camera to long, and am still trying different things...unfortunately my lens does not have IS (image stabalization). I chose not, because the lens is 3x the price. In this case I should have used a tripod, which would have helped...I agree I need to back off on my focal length a bit...but Ran Thanks so much for your tips, and your continued comments...that's how we all learn...I appreciate advice from a great friend like you...take care now...Larry

Dear Ram, From your caption I could find that I have improved my photography, The plants in the shose are real, planted in garbage shose so I can give water to plants. The red gall are developed as a result of minuter mites. I have nice observation habit since I was teacher that helps me to find out minute things, Take care of your health my friend -Jay

hi RAN, did i miss your question? no, the pictures are not "photo shop". they are taken from day to day in the very same spot to show the weather changes. today the changes are 2 cows and 4 calves. but most everything else is the same. very SLOW weather changes this year. VERY ODD year here. usually it is tons of snow and all white over the winter....we will see what happens next fall won't we? "driest winter on record" so far. thank you for stopping by. do you like "C'ING'I"'s new club? it started from your idea!

Hi Ran! You asked about my John Deere Lawn Mower. They make the best and this cost a little over $7,000 7 years ago, on a special promotion at less cost then it normally would. Finally, I'm getting it paid off! Hurray! I love that mower. If only we'd get more sun and dry weather so I could get everything mowed! I mow 4 12 acres. Can't do all that in about 2 or 3 hours. That's how long it takes for our grass to dry in the spring. All morning it is wet, unless it's extremely hot outside. NOT THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!! Sharon

Hi Ran, Yes you are right about Bonnie Prince Charlie. He was a claimant to the Scottish and English Crowns. His Grandfather James II was deposed and fled to France if memory serves me right. Prince Charles Edward Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie) Won the Early battles in Scotland and reached Derby in England before having to turn back due to lack of English support. It was shortly after this he was heavily defeated at the battle of Culloden then he escaped in a small boat while dressed as a maid and sailed to Skye. He managed to board a French frigate there and made it to France.

Dear Ran! Thank you for visiting and kind comments on my 3PAW last photos! We also often associate Volga with Burlaki! By the way the famous painting by Repin "Burlaki at Volga" was done near Samara in the village of Shiryaevo on the оерук side of Volga near Zhiguli mountains. We have a museum there! Here is a phot from it: http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2392725620065925037zNEpfX?vhost=travel Keep in touch! From Russia with love, Alex.

Thanks, Ran, for leaving me a message. I did read the story of the Monfort Crusades and that made the pictures more interesting to me. I am somewhat of a history buff.

Dear Ran, thank you for your comment. I'm very stressed with over 300 messages from our caring Webshots users over the death of our son, and my concern for my mental health has me working on photos. I'm sorry that I haven't had time to view all of your new works. ... Judy

Thanks for revisiting the Pont du gard with me. I don't remember much about what was around it as it was so long ago. In fact, it makes me kind of queasy now to think about being up on top with our daughter. No fear when you are young. Joan

Hello my dear friend! I had to thank you for your incredibly kind words in my album. I miss you and everyone else in 3 a week challenge as well. My hard drive died a few months ago and I lost EVERYTHING. I was SO sad for a while and am just now starting to get behind the camera again. Maybe coming back to the group is just what I need? I'll have to give it some serious thought. Anyway, THANK you for your warm words! Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Kris :)

Hi Ran, I just popped by to try and answer your Q. from last weeks, 3 a week...Q...Very nice shot and very intersting story . But how will they take out the car from the deep water to avoid pollution?...That is a good question, not sure...Its actually not that far from shore, and they do this every year apparently, so surely they must hook it out some way...I thought it was a good subject for a photo though...Thanks for your interest...Larry
