Only someone who has lived in the Smoky Mountains and has walked the pathways, swam in the creeks and breathed the pure clean air can photograph the Smokies as they deserve to be portrayed. I have begun to enjoy your albums, Pud, and I have bookmarked them for future and careful viewing. I live nearby, and I never have been able to get my fill of the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Gatlinburg has been a place of rest for me for many years. I did my student teaching there in the old schoolhouse back in the sixties. The people, the food, the memories are special. I truly enjoyed your pictures of the Smoky Mountains in the fall. My husband and I were just down there last week. We renewed our vows at the Chapel in the Glades where we got married 2 years ago. We were both commenting that of all the times we'd been down to the Gatlinburg area, the colors were the most beautiful then. Thank you for sharing your photos - they bring back a lot of great memories! :)
