You are right about the rotation thing....I never did think of doing that...you have such a creative mind in your presentation and your planning. Yep, a 300 or more would be great....I can go over closer but have wanted to give them distance until they are a bit older. I can see them from our bedroom window but there are leaves and branches in the way and wouldn't make a great picture...they are pretty high up in the tree for me to see directly into the nest. I just love watching them. Now the father and mother are feeding them...guess they are getting hungrier than the mother alone can keep up with.

I love the colors we get in the Idaho sky, oranges, goldes, pinks, purples, and everything in between. and then I see a sunset from some where else and all of a sudden I feel deprived....cant have everything

Thanks for the comments Pete...Columbine comes in several colors...I have 3, the 2 I have shown here and another which is pale yellow with the white center...there is also a periwinkle color with a white center and a friend of mine has a brighter yellow with a pale yellow center...supposedly come in LOTS of color combinations but the best part is that they come up every year!

Hi Pete, well, think the Oriole was a good idea, but when I looked it up there doesnt seem to be near enough yellow on this bird as there is the Oriole. All of these just have the color on their chest and heads. The Oriole is yellow except for the black wings....hhhmmmm, tis a quandry. and thank you very much for the compliment on me yrs. ago pic. Quirkyartist made the comment that it was rather blurry did I have another, so I took another pic. of the orig. pic. and downloaded, yes less blur. but now when someone leaves me a message it only shows up on my e-mail and not under the photo.....oh well, I wasnt very good at getting messages when I was younger either, yea.......hahaha.
