Hello George - I am so pleased that you liked the photo and it was a pleasure to dedicate it to you. I know what you mean about governments etc re the fires. We have the same problem in that the government didn't allow people to cut down certain trees near their homes but I think now after so much devastation they will have to rethink their previous ways. I thought I'd give you my work email address if ever you'd like to contact me that way. It would be nice to stay in touch. I normally only get to see my emails etc at work and have very little time at home to go on my computer. My email address is : stancheff@richbenn.com.au
Here is something I thought you might like, George : "Doing nothing for others is the undoing of one's self. We must be purposely kind and generous or we miss the best part of life's existence. The heart that goes out of itself gets large and full of joy. We do ourselves most good by doing something for others."
Take care..........Sue
Dear George - How lovely to hear from you and thank you so much for the lovely comments you left, especially the one about the sleeping monkey. That is one of my favourite pictures and it was nice to have you as the first person to leave a comment. I completely understand when you say you've been too busy to visit webshots for I am the same and am now working full time so it is very rare for me to visit here nowadays. You have probably heard about the terrible devastation from bushfires here in my state of Victoria. I was safe from the fires but all of Australia are united as one in our grief for the 200+ victims and their families. It is by far the worst tragedy in Australia's history with 2000 homes lost and 7000 people left homeless. Words are not sufficent enough to describe how badly I feel for those people, but out of the bad comes so much good from people willing to help. Over $200 million has been raised to help the survivors. A 39 year old man has been arrested for deliberately starting one of the fires which killed 21 people and there may be more arrests. How can people do this?? I cannot comprehend it. Anyway, enough sadness, you look very well in your photo, George and I hope all is good in your life. For you : 'Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.' Take care, my friend......Sue
Mahalo George, you are so sweet!! Thank you! No worries, I understand about time. Stop in when you have a moment, I always am happy to hear from you! I wish you a sparkling day as well! Sharon

Hey George - thanks for telling me about your Christmas dinner. It's interesting to see what other people on the other side of the world do. We had turkey, ham, pork and beef with roasted vegetables, and of course traditional plum pudding (which I don't like!). I look forward to seeing some more of your photos soon. Take care...Sue
