Jacques, thanks for visiting my album of the Greek temples of Sicily! I'm glad that you liked it. I have more pictures of those temples in my website, I had to censor few of them since they were not appropriate for WS... Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Yair.

Thank you ever so much, dear Jacques, for stopping by and for the words of appreciation on my BPOTD. Thanks for the encouragement. Usha and I just came back after spending ten days in Rwanda trekking and seeing the magnificent mountain gorillas. It is a lovely country although with a sad recent history of genocide. Best wishes, Suresh

Hi, it is me again, I recently established a new project that could be of interest to you, as you obviously love nature I wondered if you would mind if I list you on my “friend of Green Culture” page. (webshot will not allow me to give you a link to the website here) There is no obligation on your part but I would print your introduction as you have it here if you agree. since I retired I do a lot of travelling myself, and have homes in both Hong Kong and Cambridge England, were I also own a large orchard property which is used as my Green Culture headquarters. Currently I am in Hong Kong but will be in UK in July till December – when I return to China to have Christmas and new year with my Grandchildren.

Hello, I’m Albert, we became friends yesterday. Currently I am writing a small children’s fairy story about King Ludwig and his castle for my grandchildren, and it will eventually be made into a small book . . and I see you have several good pictures of his Castle, I wonder if you would mind if I use one of them. I think the one in the snow suites the fairy story best. I am not sure what is involved in acquiring pictures on this site as it seem rather complicated and I only joined this site yesterday and being rather old I am slow learning things especially anything with computers. I have a vast stock of photos that I have taken over the past 65 years from black and white to colour – so I could return the favor at some time.

Dear Jacques! We are back from the three week long week from Canary Islands, Portugal and Spain. It was a very exciting, but a little tiring trip. We enjoyed it. As you know we always enjoy traveling. Hope you are well and in good spirits. Thank you for the kind remarks of appreciation for the place in Member's Spotlight. Best wishes, Suresh

Hello Jacques, I am the Art Director for the World Monuments Fund, a non-profit organization that protects endangered cultural sites around the world (see www.wmf.org). I've encountered one of your lovely photos of one of our projects (the Krishna temple in Hampi, India) that I ask permission to reproduce in a promotional booklet I'm putting together. You would of course be credited, and I'd send you copies of the finished piece. Please contact me at kfeisel@wmf.org to grant permission or to discuss further. Thank you so much. Best, Ken Feisel

Hello, I have been looking for a photo of Giovanni Pisano's Hercules in Pisa Cathedral to be reproduced in b/w in a book on Renaissance art by Cambridge University Press. It has to be of fairly high resolution and with rights given for world English Language use. This is actually quite hard to find, and I wondered if I might be able to use your photograph, provided CUP thinks the resolution adequate.

Jacques, I am only a month late in thanking you for your message on my featured album "Lighting Up Disney." Between work, getting ready for a mission trip to Nicaragua the end of June, a family funeral across country earlier this month, and just plain life, time slipped away. I appreciate your friendship. Hugs, Carol

My dearest Jacques, What a delightful surprise you just gave me - a long, lovely & fruitful visit to my Strawberry Picking album! Always a happy moment to see you & hear from you through the photos we share! Indeed, strawberry picking is an exciting activity for children - I guess that is why I enjoy doing it, huh? I am a child at heart!!! :-) Your comments are so funny, some are thought-provoking, and always they are heart warming. Oh, Jacques, it is getting more and more difficult for me to get out & take photos since my work in the office is preventing me to go out & enjoy my hobby. It will take me another 4 years before I fully retire from this job, and that seems like a hundred years yet from now. I pray I may get the time I need to occasionally get out from my "prison" job & escape to the mountains, the beaches, the lakes and other places I still have not been or seen. I also would like to escape so I can find the time to visit my friends' albums - and activity I now rarely indulge in these days. So, to see friends come & visit my albums - well, that is an awesome treat for me, as it is a rare privilege to see & hear from you as you come & visit my albums. Oh, Jacques, I hope all is well with you, your health, with Pierre, and your travels! The Lord bless you and keep you in the palm of His loving hands! ~~~Love, Mary Ann

Hi Jacques! Thank you so much for your gracious congratulations on my Homepage POTD of the Tropical Water Lily and Dragonfly! I was so delighted and surprised to find it featured. And I always appreciate so much the comments from members of the Webshots' Community. Again, thank you! You mentioned the Climatron in your message. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Climatron in the garden and they are having a special dinosaur display inside the Climatron this summer! I hope I can get some decent shots of them. Greetings from Missouri, Sharon

Many thanks for your congratulatory message for my POTD of Mt. Rushmore at night. It was indeed an honor for me, especially since it was a photo of one of our National Memorials. A bit of trivia: Over 90% of Mount Rushmore was carved by using dynamite. Dynamite blasts removed approximately 450,000 tons of rock from the mountain. Have a great day. Carol
