pete: take note:
not this challenge but next weeks. you have tons of great shots!
"NEXT WEEK’S THEME: Capturing the Sun Next week’s challenge was inspired by an email that was sent around that had some great fun shots of people catching, poking, holding and sometimes eating the sun while it was low in the horizon. This should be a fun one!"
Hi Pete!! Thank you for your visit and your encouraging comment! I appreciate it very much! I means a lot coming from you! Have a great weekend! Evita :D
Hi Pete, I've just had a look at your Commercial site, I think there are many Artists here who are very protective of their work and they would not be happy about having their work advertised as "Free Art". I understand the connection you have with Webshots but don't you think it's a little cheeky of Webshots to advertise their hard work, some of which is Copyrighted, on your site? ... maybe I am a little naive of the commercial world, but has anyone here been asked if they want this? ... hope you are O.K. ~ have a wonderful weekend, enjoy your Summer, while it lasts.....Helen
Hi Pete, the new album is wonderful and I love the dedication for my friend Sue. I love the same colours as she does ... lilacs, lavenders, purples, mauves, blues, all the cool tones. I also love the pale Gelato shades. If you have the time and/or the inclination I would love a new image just for moi! ...warm wishes from your friend in Australia, Helen
Hi Pete, Thanks so much for leaving me a comment on my "Waltz of the Flowers" kaleidoscope picture! I appreciate your visit and hope you'll come back again. ~Jade
Hi Pete ~ as you can see I'm having fun with my new toy ~ the 3D specs. I'm sure you would really enjoy them too ! They're pretty cheap and probably easier to get in UK but I couldn't find any in NZ so in the end I ordered from USA.
Thanks very much Pete for your kind comment on my picture winning the CC Hot and featured on the Webshots homepage ! It is a real great surprise and a wonderful honor for me ! Have a nice day. Daniel\France\Alsace\Stra sbourg
Hey Pete, I have finally made a small Album dedicated to you with thanks for helping me get my hands on Mind Boggling Fractals and for your assistance in guiding me through the maze that is the Internet. Thanks again Pete, I really appreciate all your advice and direction through the tricks and pitfalls of the Net...warm wishes from Australia, Helen.....

Hello Webshotsfriend,
I'm glad to introduce my latest album of Vietnam. Because there was so much to photograph I decided to device the Vietnam collection in 3 parts: North - Middle and South. I hope you can appreciate my albums. Also my India-collection was a great success. Thanks for taking some time. I appreciate it very much when you give me some feedback. Thanks!! Marleen - Belgium
Hi Pete, a million thanks for your visit and your wonderful words of encouragement. I have not forgotten the album of MBF I am going to make for you, things have been a little hectic around here. I have not been feeling 100% [a little better now] and my son, who has a disability, has just started a new day program [I have never filled out so many forms in my life]. Everything is slowly getting back to normal and hopefully I will have some time on my hands to do some work and look at the work of my friends. Take care of yourself Pete, talk soon! ... Helen
pete,
thanx for inviting me to be buddies! i like your style very much!

mary
Wow! you are so prolific, it is hard to keep up with all your great works........getting closer to broadband by the day so hopefully viewing won't take quite so long. Keep up the great work, it's very inspiring.
Hi Pete & thank for your encouraging comments on my adventures into digital art.I really enjoy your work & am sloooowly working my way through your albums here & elsewhere. I only have dial up internet so everything takes sooooooooo long. This means that I rarely upload full data files & I'm sure this will impact on download quality. In response to your query about how I created the 'Green Bamboo' in my Earth Album...mmmm....'not sure' is the truthful answer. At that stage I was just clicking until I got something that took my fancy or I got bored...whichever came first! Now I am trying to be more systematic and take note of the pathway. It was definately done using filters in Photoshop Elements3. Probably including 'Polar Coordinates' ~ I use this alot & of course the various colour filters. I also use the texture filters (such as Plaster)to help give texture & depth to images. I havent got into layers ...yet. What software would you recommend for a beginner to move into the sort of creative work you do? Kind Regards
Feel free to download the lot for non commercial use. If you'd like me to dedicate a new image to you drop me a line. Always happy to make new friends and discuss Digital Art.
