Hello Pat, thanks for your comment on my Tahkenitch Dunes album. This time of year, we do a lot of beach hiking as the mountains are full of snow right now. Happy Trails!

Hello Pat, thanks for visiting my Bullards Beach hike. It was a beautiful, but windy cold, day. There are plenty of lighthouses along the Oregon coast and there are a few I haven't made it to yet. If you ever get out here, you will enjoy not only the lighthouses, but the beautiful and rugged coastline. Glad you enjoyed my pictures. Richard

Thanks so much for coming aboard and visiting the Nina and Pinta, it is amazing the stamina men had to venture out in such frail ships to seek knowledge of the unknown. cg

Hello Pat, glad you enjoyed the pictures from our Bandon Beach hike. We were lucky in that the rain held off until we were finished hiking! It reminded me of a time I hiked a very long hike on the dunes in stormy weather and the cloud patterns were just marvelous. I invite you to look at that if you liked this hike: ttp://outdoors.webshots.c om/album/575935682VLKqEU? vhost=outdoors Richard

Thanks for visiting my Busch Gardens album. We had hoped to go there again this week, but those plans fell through. I wanted to see their Christmas decorations; maybe we'll get there in a couple of weeks. Carol

I am intrigued by your passion for lighthouses. We have only been to a couple...we have a long way to go to even be considered as lighthouse fans.

Hello Pat, thanks for your comment on my Boulder Creek hike. Winter has come so it's all covered up in snow right now and very inaccessible, too. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Richard

Hi Pat thanks for your nice comments on my POTD, I'll be checking out your albums too. My wife and I get to New England about every 2 years for the colors. I'd retire in Vermont if I had my way ;-) We live in oregon, come out this way if you want to see some stunning Lighthouses ;-) I have albums of those too.

Revisited your 44 alba. Kindly advise the guardians of Ingleze-speak that "bums" is rude. Being an angle, I use "alba". I do swear, but mostly - and more effectively in Gerrrrrrman!

Hello Pats, thanks for your kind comments on my Rogue River Trail hike. That particular trail is one of southern Oregon's best hikes in my opinion, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. Thanks, once again. Richard, Oregon USA

Greetings from Alaska & Thank You so much for your visit and kind comments on my POTD featured photo. I was surprised to find the announcement in my email and all of the comments are humbling. The Eagles are my favorite majestic bird. Eagles are loyal birds and mate for life so when you see a big pair it is almost always male & female occasionally it will be parent and offspring. It takes many long walks and hikes alone on very cold days to find a good shot, this picture was shot with 200mm telephoto on a winter day the temperature was -5 f. “cold fingers & toes” Again Thank You & best wishes from Alaska, Dave
