Hi Renee: Just wanted to let you know that I posted the pics of the elusive duck (they're not great, but you can at least see her) and some frog/toad pics from our pool skimmers. I think it's called: Look who visited our pool...or something like that! Sandy

Thanks Renee for the info about your camera. I realized after you mentioned it about the viewfinder being a possiblity to use rather than the LCD screen if it's too bright out. Never thought of that before! So I tried it today and it actually works rather well. My Casio doesn't have a viewfinder but the Sony does so I'm glad you mentioned that. Thanks! :-))It now seems like such an obvious solution, where is my brain these days? LOL! I plan on posting a very short frog/toad album shortly so you can see what I was talking about. We had a newcomer to our pool today, a cute little frog. He didn't seem to want to leave the pool because he kept jumping back into the water when I tried to point him towards the garden area! So I went and got my camera and took several shots of him before I finally got him to leave the pool. He sure was a cute little guy though. Sandy

Hi Renee, thanks for your recent visit to our 'Day Trippin' album and for your very kind and generous comments, they are truly appreciated. The Great Horned Owls were a wonderful surprise, our daughter told us about them. They were in the trees at the edge of the campground where they stayed over the 4th of July weekend and the boys (our grandsons) were so excited that they saw two young owls sitting in the tree, so we stopped by there on the 7th and there was only the one young one (which we took photos of) then we had friends staying in our motor home with us for about a week and we took them there to see if we could see and photograph it or them, and at first we thought they weren't there and I turned and noticed the 'rear view 4 Renee' shot (which was my first shot) then I noticed the other two, so we got to see and photograph both the youngsters and one of the adults. It was so much fun just clicking away (4 of us with cameras) and they just stayed right there. The one youngster was so cute it was perched on a limb up close to the tree trunk and it would peek around one way then peek around the other side of the tree trunk. Both days that we viewed and photographed them were overcast and dreary out, so I am hoping to go back and see/photograph them again on a nice day where theres a clear blue sky and sunshine. You won't believe how many photos I took (212 .. I kid you not!), it's crazy. Take Care. ~Deb & Rick~

I came by to tell you about Kate's beautiful shot, but you are so on the ball! I've known her for about a year and watched her grow by leaps and bounds. I'm very proud of her for making a great POTD. And now...I miss you! And I know you and I are so busy, our jaws are hittin' the floor. We're back installing a whole bunch of new gear at our place, so I don't get to chat much for awhile....Hugs, buddy!

Hi Renee: Thanks so much for visiting my "more flowers" album and for all your lovely comments. I put the pink roses with the queen bee on my 21 inch screen and I was amazed at how much detail I was able to get at the distance away that I was. The eyes and wings are all very obvious and pretty in-focus considering the fact that they don't stay put for very long! LOL. With your type of camera do you have problems viewing the objects in bright sunlight, or is there a hood around the lens preventing it? Sometimes all I can see is my reflection in the LCD screen due to bright sun, especially in the Sony camera. . .the Casio is better in that regard! So it makes it hard to tell if it is in-focus or not, in bright sunlight, or even if the object I'm trying to photograph is truly in view! So it's fun to get it up on the computer and see what I actually captured! Thanks again for your taking the time to comment and view my photos. Sandy
