ACK! I just saw this comment---I am SO sorry Cindy!
The giraffes were an interesting commission because the owner wanted just "neutrals". But I got away with lots of color anyway. They were happy with them. The owner refers to them as Bert and Ernie.
Yes, the Sacred Seasons piece is behind the "altar" at our UU church (Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Peninsula). We're less churchy than the Williamsburg UU church. You'll have to come and visit. I have two other fabric pieces and a paper collage hanging in the sanctuary space as well (we have the seven principles in art in our sanctuary). Of course every Sunday I sit there and see things on the piece that I would do differently now, lol.
I also put the Dogwood blossoms on with velcro. So about two months ago I switched them out with pink Dogwood flowers. It was interesting watching people wonder what changed. Too funny. I'm going to start adding a few more things each month just to keep everyone on their toes.
Thanks for the nice comments and please come and visit!

I saw this link on the quilt art digest and went to look at the giraffes. I love your work so I kept looking. I could not believe that the seasons quilt looked like it was hanging in a UU church. I belong to a UU church also. So, I just had to write and tell you all of that.
