Great rodeo pics! I do have to comment that some of your shots appear like you may have been, well how shall I say it DISTRACTED ;-) Honestly I wish I shot more of the girls and less of the livestock! Nice shots. I'm sorry for not checking my mail at this site. The Wetumka book is getting stale at age six. I want to do a more comprehensive book, sometime, maybe, soon. I put five copies in the Wetumka library and made it available online from the Wetumka Chamber of Commerce website. Just longon and go to "browse before you buy." Every page is available to you this way. Otherwise, Amazon and a host of sellers have it. Incidentally, I surely did know Valena Tapley, particularly in the years when she clerked at Robert L. Thanks for the great pics of Succer Day. My grandmother lived in Wetumka for a lot of years until her death a couple of years ago. You probably knew her, Valena Tapley. Am also related to all of the Chastains. My grandmothers sister was married to Kenneth Chastain. I have been to Wetumka more times than I can count. Lots of great memories. My uncle used to work in the old Redskin theater and we would go help him clean up on Sunday mornings. Great fun! Been to Succer Day many times. My dad, Bob Tapley, is the one that told me about your web album. Please write me back and let me know how I can get a copy of your book about Wetumka. I think it would be something my Dad would enjoy tremendously. They moved there when he was 13, in 1949.
