chief i noticed the pictures of some of burchinals planes at the old flying tiger air museum i hung around his place in the mid 70s juniour took me in my first plane ride in the steerman he had i also rode in the coursair the p51 the b17 and several other of his planes thanks for the memories one question i stopped by his place in 2004 and was wondering if junior was still around Lester Proctor

Bill, Very thrilled to hit the site with my Google of Ascom City. I arrived there Dec 26, 1955, and departed Apr 1957. Assigned to 55th QM Depot Property Office. R&R to Japan April 1956 and Nikko, Japan, Dec 1956. I referred my daughter-in-law to your album of "#2 KOREA, 1957-58, Seoul, Ascom, Inchon, Kimpo AB and Osan AB", saying I coulda/shoulda taken pics like these -- sites would have been same. Bill, he photos sot at Jr. Burchinald's place in 1975, what montn were those photos taken. I am looking for a photo of a B-25 registered as N96GC, it was painted Olive Drab and had white stripping across the solid nose and on the upper and lower sides of the outer wing panels. email me at gmlewis@mindspring.com thanks in advance. I'm currently in the 136th CES, but I have many friends in or from the Aerial Port Squadron. APS personnel slots were cut back a few years ago, and they recently merged into Supply, prompting some cross training. They're all good people. I passed some of your pictures on to current members. I'm not certain some of them appreciate the hair and clothing styles they made back then, but they were enjoyed.

You must have been in the 136th TAW about the same time I was. I was actually in the 136th Comm Flight upstairs in the main hangar. Went on a few summer duties in the 130's. I was there when they transitioned from the KC-97's and went on one "Creek Party" trip in one of them.

Bill, You took some great shot of the 1965 SCCA race at Green Valley. I was one of a three man pit crew for Jim Thompsons red Lotus 7 America, E-Production that weekend. We also had the silver Mustang Hi-Po that raced in GT class. I took several photos from the pits of the race and some of cars in the pits. Check out my WebShot pictures at KenMilesGT350RModel98 . Bill Strouse, Question about the photo of LC-N. What was your uncle's name? I'm the historian for the 20th Fighter Wing at Shaw AFB, SC. I also served in the 77th TFS 1980-1987. Have not seen this photo of 11161 before June Nite was applied. We of course have shots of her after and of 44-13637 with a much simpler "June Nite" on her nose. This plane had been "Smoky" Maj Gilbertson's old mount LC-G.

Hey Bill, I found this site by accident one day and started thru the pictures and was quite shocked to see me standing with 3 other guys at the airport in Manila. I went thru probably all of your pictures of cars, airplanes, countries, and many other things and it reminded me of the old days in the 70's and 80' when we would play the 20 questions in the rate department at CFL.
