Wanda, We haven't gone that far with the boys yet. But were hoping to start traveling more now that they are getting older. My oldest would love to come to Texas to rodeo. So far, we have tried to stick with in 200 miles of home. We live in Utah. When we do make it that far I will let you know for sure. Shawnee

Thx, Tonya, I appreciate the time and effort it took for you to look at my pix. Thanks also for the nice comments! Most them were taken before I had the L lenses but I haven't had the time to upload newer albums as I'm having too much fun taking the pix!

Hello Wanda, I want to thank you for your advice on the Canon L Series Lenses, after looking at your pictures I will be checking them out asap! I read your going on a fabulous vacation to Yellowstone, so have tons of fun and I know from looking at your albums your going to take GREAT pictures there. Thanks again, Tonya

Hi, Paul and thx, LOL, we actually have that book!!! We have a couple nites in Jackson Hole - Motel 6 - I think - the cheapest we could find and a couple nites in a cabin in West Yellowstone. We are going in September, after school starts which will help with the crowds but too early to see the Aspens in color (which is on my list). I will send you a heads up if I manage to get an album together on here (always time crunched). If you think of any other "must sees" drop me a note, OK? W.

Hi Wanda, I'm glad you were able to find something suitable. Are you going to be staying inside the parks? When are you going to be there? I'll be looking forward to your pictures. Please send me an invite when you get your album(s) published. One hint – Before you go you may want to check out a book: "Photographer's Guide to Yellowstone and the Tetons" by Joseph K. Lange. It helped me a lot with the best times to photograph many of the sites.

Hi, Mick, thank you so much for "putting me out of my misery", LOL. I did not know that my pic was featured and was really curious as to why all these people started leaving me messages about it, when I did that album a couple of years ago. That album (which is not very good) gets tons of view - close to 150,000 and the photos are terribly noisy so go figure. Just shot another rodeo, so hopefully I will find the time soon to upload it. I'm glad it brings pleasure to so many. Thx, again, I appreciate it.

Hi Wanda, You asked me why your rodeo picture was getting so many hits when you posted it a couple of years ago. If you go to the 'Sports' section you will see that your shot featured as "Sports Photo of the Day" a few days ago, hence the renewed interest. Well done - you deserve it!!

Hi, I'm quite familiar with the feeling. I'm saving for a 500 or 600mm lens (my wife doesn’t know about it yet) and if I wanted to stay in all day, I'd stay home. Also, the high fee places give you a lot of "luxury" which are wasted on us. We go to the park to enjoy the "wilderness" (at least our version of it) and the beauty of the park and staying at a rustic cabin (with indoor plumbing and clean beds) suits our taste and our budget.

Hi Oneshot, Thank you for your kind comments on my Grand Teton album. As to your question about lodging: Accommodations vary widely depending on preferred location, level of comfort and budget. At Tetons I always stay at a Colter Bay Cabin (see my album) you may wish to do further research through: http://www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/lodging.htm. In Yellowstone, I always stay at Canyon because of its proximity to the falls and to wildlife, but again you should research through: http://www.travelyellowstone.com/. One thing I must emphasize is making reservations quickly. Available accommodations ago quickly and may already be gone during your available time. Going after schools start may help. I make my reservations for Teton on Jan 2 and for Yellowstone one year in advance. Best of luck to you and let me know when you publish your pictures, Paul.

Being connected at something less than 56K meant it took me quite some time this afternoon to view nearly half of your folders. But it was an afternoon of enjoyment. You demonstrate knowledge of the art of photography. Pretty things do not make pretty pictures. Artists make pretty pictures. Keep up the good work.

Wanda, http://public.fotki.com/quietlatitudes/ will be another address for me. The new WS should be working by now, but their site isn't getting any better. Please stop in anytime from the link above. Ron
