    • Dear Pete, thank you so much for your good wishes, despite my having neglected you sadly of late! I have a little break over Christmas, and hope to catch up with friends and their new photos then. I wish you and your family a very happy Christmas indeed, and a peaceful new year. I hope you are not too snowed in! But a white Christmas will be lovely (provided you get to stay inside all day!). Warmest wishes, Jane.

    • Hello, Pete, Thanks very much for your kind congratulations on the picture in my featured UK album on Monmouthshire (2007). The garden in the picture really did provide a lovely view as we sat and enjoyed our tea. In fact, we liked it so much that we returned to the same place for tea in 2008! I hope that everything has been going well for you (and I hope that the recent rainstorms didn't create too many problems in your Borders area, as they did over in Cockermouth, Keswick, etc.). I've been looking at a number of your pictures over the past few months, but I never seem to have time to keep up with writing comments to everyone ... --All the best, Rebecca

    • Hi Pete, yes, I see Neena is giving away all our secrets!! It's still 2 years until we go away - 4 of us hope to go and I hope to convince them to go to Florence (Neena won't need any persuading there, I'm sure). One of our girlfriends has Dutch parents, so she is keen to go to the Netherlands too. Now I never knew those Staffies were called Wallies! My daughter hates them with a passion and says the minute I snuff it their going on ebay. Kids. No sense of history. I'll be back to visit soon, glad you are having such a good summer! Jane.

    • Hi Pete, yes miss Jane and l have been friends for over 30 years and we went to school in Exeter (in Tas)and grew up around that area. and yes, she does have a dry sense of humour, she is the one who put me onto webshots and this has changed my life...love it and learning about photography and other parts of the world..cheers for now, Neena...p.s after Italy (which Jane and l and a couple of other school friends) will be visiting for our collective 50th birthday's, Scottland and Ireland are the only places l have ever wanted to visit...xx stay well

    • Hello again, Pete, Thanks very much for your generous comment on my recent album of the Bishop's Castle area in South Shropshire. I'm glad that you enjoyed it! I tried to take advantage of some lovely late-September weather (having said that, the main reason that there are so few pictures of Bishop's Castle itself is that it rained for much of our morning there, so we spent most of it in the library ... ) I'm still working on further photos from our visit to England and Wales this year. I have also been looking through more of your albums with great enjoyment -- and look forward to devoting more attention to them! All the best, Rebecca

    • Hi, Pete, I'm sorry that I have not had the time to send comments on your albums more often -- there never seems to be enough time for Webshots, along with the job and travel. I noticed that you have been posting more photos of the West Country and hope to go through them over the holidays. In the mean time, I wanted to stop by to let you know how much I have appreciated your generous sharing of your work and talent, along with your support and encouragement during this year. May the Christmas season be a time of joy, warmth, and peace for you and all of your loved ones, and may the New Year bring you great happiness and fulfillment! -- Rebecca

    • Dear Pete, just wanted to wish you and your family a very happy Christmas, and a wonderful New Year, and to thank you for your friendship and support. I must apologize for not being a frequent visitor of late, our internet has been slowed down to dial up speed (due to daughter moving back home & using up all our download allowance on music) - but should be back to normal after Christmas. So I will be back to visit you then! Kindest regards from your friend Jane.

    • Pete, Thank you for your kind comment on our POTD, "01 Elephant with Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, viewed from Amboseli NP, Kenya" -- we were fortunate to be at the right place at the right time. By the way we love Scotland. Thanks again and have a Merry and Happy Holiday Season. Steve & Barbara, USA

    • Hello Pete, thanks so much for visiting my Launceston album, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I just had the greatest pleasure in viewing your St. Ives birds & animals albums - they were absolutely stunning. I hope you will accept my invitation to be my friend, as I would really like to be informed when you load anything new! Kindest regards from Jane.

    • Hello, Pete, Thanks very much for your kind message on my POTD in Pets on Sunday, of ponies running on the Long Mynd in South Shropshire. The choice of this picture was a real honour as well as a surprise. I'm delighted that you liked it! I was fortunate enough to be in that beautiful place on a lovely September day last year, just as the ponies came by, quite unexpectedly. In turn, I enjoyed your album on Penzance and the Mount's Bay area very much! Best wishes for a wonderful weekend, Rebecca
