Greetings from Alaska & Thank You so much for your visit and kind comments on my POTD featured photo. I was surprised to find the announcement in my email and all of the comments are humbling. The Eagles are my favorite majestic bird. Eagles are loyal birds and mate for life so when you see a big pair it is almost always male & female occasionally it will be parent and offspring. It takes many long walks and hikes alone on very cold days to find a good shot, this picture was shot with 200mm telephoto on a winter day the temperature was -5 f. “cold fingers & toes” Again Thank You & best wishes from Alaska, Dave
You have a good eye. The Colorado photo that you commented on is looking towards South Park. It was taken just on the west side of Wilkerson Pass, if I recall correctly.
Thank you Newhampster. I happen to be visiting friends in your hometown. Everything is gorgeous around here.
My regards to you from Venezuela.
Gabriela
Hi, I appreciate your message and reply. I also would like to let you know another little secret to a beautiful fall scenic. Look at the leaves, and trees when the sunlight is behind it aluminating thru the colors, and leaves. This intencifies the colors a 100 fold. When you understand,(See)the light, color, and shadows, it hardly matters the camera you use, you will take beautiful, colorful photos by natures filters. Enjoy! Thanks Carolyn
Hi, came to look at your fall color, but there are none, LOL! If you were refering to the rocks in my special album those rocks have a mineral layer on top that is blue, and I shoot a lot in rainie, and wet weather which enhance color, and I do enhance some photos after that. Its a matter of like, and dislikes, but that rich color is there cause I shoot late evenings, and in the morning light as well. Next time your on a late evening drive take the time to really look at the change of colors all around you, and how the low light of the setting sun enahance the colors, and as the sun lowers they will change right before your eyes. I appreciate your comment, but I have one question for you. Take a good look at the pro shots......there is not ONE photo in there that is not enhanced. I have fun at what I do, and I enjoy sharing with others, you just cant make everyone happy. LOL! Thanks for dropping by, and I hope you will add some fall photos I know you live in a great area. Thanks Carolyn
