Hi Andrea, thank you for posting on Tucker's page. My family and I lost Tucker on December 5, 2006, due to a condition called bloat. I'm not sure if you know what it is, but we had never heard of it before it happened (if you don't know what it is, you should definitely research it, because it can randomly happen to any large breed dog). My parents were away on vacation and he was boarded at a family friend's pet resort, where the bloat happened. Tucker was an extremely healthy dog, so this was a shock to us. It was a very instant and freak of nature kind of thing. My family and I were devastated. Tucker was my very first pet, and the 9 years I had with him were the happiest of my life. I miss him so much, I think about him everyday. Up until now, I never realized how hard losing a pet could be. He wasn't a pet, he was a family member. Your golden retriever is beautiful.
