I just saw your comment in the blog on site updates. Visit my unofficial Help album for answers on the the fix for the old and info on the new desktop download. They just changed the version number on the download page to match what you get.The fix for the old version was a simple option change in the Add Ons. The newest version has been on my brand new computer and my old one for over a month and no issues. All this info is available in my Help album. Thumbs Up To You for what you said on the blog about 'backups.' I back my photos up on my own disks so it doesn't really concern me, but for the others who depended on the 'Free' backups from the desktop I think it's a Money Grubbing, dirty WS Trick. Webshots has certainly gone through many incarnations since it first began (I believe it was 1997) and not all of them have been good. I joined back in 2000. Steve, I'm filling the blog in response to your issue, so decided to leave you a message instead! I added a second icon to my profile exactly as stated in the blog. However, in order to USE the new icon, I had to delete the original. It was not possible to choose which to display. Hmmm, now I wonder, WHAT IF I HAD JUST CHANGED THE ORDER of these 2 photos!! Possibly whatever is in the first spot is the one used by Profile! Oh well, doesn't matter because it's the same picture, just altered to be square. If the icon is going to be shown as a square, then I have now created a square picture!

Thank you, Steve! I used the clue you left in the blog and was finally able to load a profile icon. I wish I had never wasted so much time on this over the days since Aug.29th!
