About Me more
Currently I live in Maryland, USA but lived most of my life in northern New England (Maine & New Hampshire). I am now shooting with a Nikon D70s and experimenting with a new Nikon 105mm f2.8 G lens so I can take close up macros. Enjoy!

Hi Ken:..... I just stumbled upon your pictures today as I want to do some photo shoots of Maryland barns while the weather is so nice. Is there a map locating all of the barns available or do you just drive around?? I came to Maryland in 2002 from New Hampshire so the "old structures" mean a lot to me. Thanks for your help Marilyn

Ken, Is the Fort at Point Lookout great to see? I am an 8th generation family member..My grandfather was at Point Lookout as a POW back in the Civil War..I am thinking of making the trip from SC to MD to see what it was like, he walked home from MD after his release.

Hi Ken and thanks for the lovely comment on my autumn colors album. Maryland is one of my favorite states; I used to have a friend who lived in Waldorf. It's very different from NS in terms of crops grown, climate and topography, but I found the people so friendly. So we have that in common. ~ Brenda

Ken, You were right, that was some CRAZY storm. It only lasted 30 minutes, but it was a beaut! Almost all new houses in this area have garages, but many people have more cars than garages, or else have more junk than the house can hold so it is in the garage and the car (or truck) sits in the drive and gets pounded. We have a three car garage, with only one Jeep, so we have room for both Jeep and Junk! Despite the rain and hail we're fine. Hope all is well with you and yours. Helen & Ed

A whole ocean full of GREETINGS to you, Ken, from the southern coast of Oregon! I wanted to let you know I appreciated your nice comment on my winning RWB Challenge entry STANDING TALL. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much! I also wanted to mention that I have been doing what I think is a fascinating photo-documentary of how rapidly the point at which the sun sets, is moving southward ever since the summer solstice. I added a new comparison photo today in my APPRECIATION! album on page 10, photo number 111. It compares a July 5th sunset to the July 12th sunset last night. There is also an earlier comparison on page 8, photo number 95, that compares June 21 to July 5th. It is really quite amazing how much change there is in such a short period of time. And one more thing... if you like lighthouses I have several albums on them. Thanks again! -Randy

Thanks for posting a response re "the Battle of the Shirts". If you're serious about visiting some Scottish castles, keep a look out for impending posts from us from Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle, and the mind-boggling vastness of Fort George. Warning! A full day in each is barely enough, and the experience will prove addictive. All we need now is some good weather. Please God....
