Hi,monique,I was checking on your 2011 work.It was amazing.Watch your displays is better than read a book about villages,is too real.I hope you could watch my last display that I upload today, about my new and improved chinese village.I gonna be posting another new things that I made lately,because I'm using a big closet on mi office to avoid mess on the house and keep my displays more time.See you.Ileana

Monique, All I can say is WOW that is amazing I love how you have different layers and the waterfall is cool. I am wanting to set up my village this year and have been collecting styrofoam boards that we get in out candy shipments at work. They are only about 1/2" thick and I have been trying to find web sites on how to construct a base from them :( with no luck at all. Except for hitting on your site and although you show steps you took they don't tell how you did the water or what is in the bowl that you were putting on the base??? Any help would be fantastic. Ican't wait to see your village this year 2009. Thanks a lot,Tina

hello monique thank you for adding me to your freinds list i must say i think your village is the best ive seen. ive have the caddington village not yet got any photos to put on here will do it this year when i get it set out at christmas . but i cant compeat with your standards . thanks for those sites you said i will go and have a look .

I will have to contend with what I can find here in Australia with the oil paints, Im afraid it is just too exi to buy them in, the postage is terrible, so I hope I can do it with these paints, Im sure I will do something, just have to buy the linseed oil, looking for it now, at the health food shop I think will be the only way, I don't want very much! Not sure if that is the ame though to use with the oil paints

Moon - thank you so much for your comments on my photos. Since I started villaging, I have gone back to my enjoyment of photography again too :-) You are also really good at taking pictures of your displays - of course they are great to start with too :-) Haven't had as much time lately so havent been participating as much with making things or writing - trying to keep up LOL

Hi monique thanks for the message on my page. I just read it today! I've been so busy lately I haven't caught up with BNW or here. I've been working on a sea harbor but that's going slow. Monique I have searched the web and have not found anything that comes up to your standard I can't stop coming back to have another look at your work I would love to see it face to face but thats impossible of course but you have taken great photos so that I can feel as if I am there thank you so much for adding how you did it step by step I feel I may be able to make something with landscaping, no where near your standard though thanks again

Hi Monique I just started to bring my village out of storage and was looking for some ideas. Your set up is the best that I have ever seen. I searched on the web and found your albums and was blown away. My biggest problem is trying to fit all my houses in the space I have. I would like to send you a picture or two of last years set up and maybe you can tell me what I am doing wrong.I always incorporate a manger scene in my village as my Portuguese relatives did way back then.I hope to get some great tips and ideas from you. I have been setting up a village now for over 16 years and my boys are starting to get into it also I hope to see one in their homes one day. Maybe even a few of my pieces. Best wishes

I enjoyed looking at the Christmas pictures. I have been doing villages for years and am always looking for different things to do. I started using foam last year. I was wondering what you used to make the steps. My husband plans on incorperating real water into ours this year. Hope to see more villages pictures. Great job.

Hi Monique You do wonderful jobs with your villages. When I look at your photographs I recognize a lot of my LEMAX houses and figurines. Viewing your albums gets me in the mood to set up another village soon. Being LEMAX dealer here in Germany makes it easier for me to choose the items to set up.
