Dear Luis, It's soo good to hear from you again. Love your comment about my Philippine Panoramas album. Thank you for appreciating the effort I took in creating & updating that album. Yes, it is a growing album - increasing with every visit I make to new places here in our beloved country. I hope our kababayans abroad will continue to love & cherish their home country. If this album will cause them to feel this way, then I guess my reward is complete! :-) Once again, my friend, thank you! ~~~Mary Ann

Dear Luis, I went up the cool mountain city of BAGUIO over the long 3-day weekend for a much needed rest & cooling off (our country's been under El Nino heat wave, di ba?). And when I got back today, I saw your wonderful note. Thank you so much for the warm comment and compliment. I hope you had a great weekend, too! I pray that the coming week be bright and meaningful for you & your loved ones! God bless you, dear friend & kababayan! ~~~Mary Ann

Thanks for the "intel" on Siargao Island flights from Cebu, Luis. I did not know that and certainly it would make a difference to me, as I am getting less and less confident about taking boats in the Philippines, especially after the recent sinking off Batangas en route to Puerto Galera. Regards, Steve

Dear Luis, Thank you so much for your visit and comments in my Sagada album. It is (for me) a magical place that I want to return to, just like you. But since the rainy months have started, I think I will wait for the onset of the dry months (less chances of landslides) and visit Sagada once more! God bless you, dear friend! ~~~Mary Ann

Thanks for your comments on my photos of Europe Luis. We had an excellent vacation tour there in March with great weather and many, many interesting places visited. In the recent travel album I processed the photos with Photomatix Pro software - in which multiple exposures (over and underwxposures) and blended to create an image with the lighting and details (hopefully) optimized. I have been very pleased with the results and have been spending plenty of time re-processing older photos. I hope to catch up on your reecnt albums soon. Regards from Canada, Steve

Dear Luis, I was thrilled to receive all your lovely comments about my album on Albay mountains (including Mt Mayon volcano). It was a blessed trip since when we went up the mountains it was raining and the mountains were covered in clouds. I felt a bit disappointed that we would not be able to take pictures at all because of the thick fog and clouds that enveloped the volcano & it's sister mountains at that time. It was a good thing we continued up the mountain despite the seeming bad weather because when we reached the halfway Resthouse in Mayon & rested for some 15 minutes there, then the mists and fog slowly drifted away. It was as if the Lord was testing us if were were going to be patient enough to wait a little longer while being wrapped in thick fog and cool mountain air. Finally, we were rewarded with a fastastic view of the sister mountains (Masaraga, a dormant volcano, & Malinao). Also I was able to catch a shot of Mt Mayon's lava-scarred summit up closely. It was a wonderful experience never to be forgotten by me. God bless, and may you have a great week ahead of you, my friend! ~~~Mary Ann

By the way, Luis, I almost forgot to thank you for dropping by my Intramuros (the Walled City of Manila)album, and leaving a very encouraging comment behind. Got totally carried away with my thoughts about Intramuros! Pasensya ka na! ~~~Mary Ann

Dear Luis, Growing up as a schoolkid here in the Philippines, I found learning from textbooks about our country's history quite uninteresting & boring, to say the least. But now in my wisened years, as my daughter & I purposely went to visit the Walled City one fine but hot Saturday afternoon, and climbed some portions of those walls, well, I must admit I saw Manila & it's raw history in a totally fresh perspective! I was wide-eyed and bushy-tailed every step of the way! I was trasported back in time & felt the "moment" of each location. It was a rich and deeply-meaningful experience, Luis, - and I loved being immersed in the richness of our history & cultural diversity. I came out of those "walls" transfixed and transformed. I've become a more appreciative Filipino (appreciative of our history, our roots & our pysche) - and loving every bit of it! So why not have a dose of the walls yourself, my friend? :-) God bless, and have a great week ahead of you! ~~~Mary Ann
