But, more happy when members appreciate them, it's a delight creating them as well..my favorite hobby. Thanks so much, MJ, for your kind comment and your visit. About the Orton Effect: it is not done in the camera and does not require filters. Though it can probably be done with a variety of photo editing software programs, I find it easiest with Adobe Photoshop Creative Suites 3 or 4. There are about nine steps that involve various exposures, though those can be done with the software as opposed to bracketing, which is the technique with HDR. Some experimentation is required to identify those photos best suited for this treatment, but once you master the principles, the possibilities are actually endless, as they can be combined with other editing techniques for some really spectacular images. You might also try Googling "Orton Effect" for some interesting perspectives on this technique; just don't be dissuaded by what seems complicated. It really isn't. Hello~ I hope this note finds you doing well. I know you left a special message for Susan before so I am here with an update. I have heard from Susan. She has been fighting her cancer with all her might. She informed me today that she has taken terribly ill and the fight has become too much. She had to stop treatments as she felt her body and mind could take no more. In this very difficult time, she still needs our prayers. We need to remember that love is not selfish. While we don't want to ever have to say goodbye, we have to love her enough to let her do what she needs to do for her. We need to be supportive, understanding and continue to pray for her. She needs us all now more then ever. May she have many more wonderful moments and may she not suffer. Whatever path she takes... be it start up treatments again later or not... may she always know that she has touched our hearts and will remain near and dear to us always. Thank you all for the love and support you have extended over this fight. My hope is that you continue to do so as your words, and the love behind them, mean the world to Susan. Dear MJ~ I wanted to thank you for leaving another message of love, strength and hope for our dear Susan. I just got your guestbook message. That's funny. For some reason I don't think they would go for it. Probably one of the reasons they would never pick me to win the challenge anymore. I open my mouth to them too much. Actually, in one day on the stats since yesterday I got twice as many hits on the Help album as I did any other album. It has 2,420 hits now.

So glad that the problem is now fixed. Bummer on all your other things going bad. I took the survey. I also have hit them every time I get a chance about the ads. Everytime I turn around they find another place to stick one. Getting to be annoying. I enjoy Redbubble, but it is a different type of site. It will not replace Webshots for me but I also intend to stay with redbubble. I enjoy all the challenges for every interest you can think of and the members do the voting. I saw you message in the blog about your computer crashing and being slow. Please go to "My Webshots Help Album" on my home page. The first 6 pictures will explain what is going on and a simple fix for your problem. Once you disable the one item explained, your comuter will again function as it should.
