Dear DeeAnne, My albums are going to achieve 500 000 visits! So I created an album intitled "FOR ALL MY FRIENDS" only for you, to celebrate this goal! Everyone can choose one or more photos and download it to remember this result. Please, send me a message, so I can write your name under every chosen photo. I tried to create an album with a lot of photos, even if unpublished, so everyone can choose his own photo, but there is no problem if two or more friends choose the same photo! Good morning... Just to reply to comments on your comments-lol. Our trees aren't leafed out until the middle of May so as to give you an idea about blossoms. We also enjoy black flies for 10 days or so in May...or if anyone digs up the earth anytime. I usually state where the bridges are in the caption. There are two in MI and seven in WI...a lot of the others are out west. I feel the same about 'running out of time'. Hope you are feeling better. I had two trips planned for this fall...one to NH and one to lower MI when the other was cancelled. Called both off because of the terrible weather all over and because of the uncertainty of our nation. If you need any help with advise getting around in the UP, I would be glad to help. I, too, am a morning person. Also, am at least 1/4 Irish...maybe 1/2...on my paternal side. Never was told a whole lot about my ancestry. I remember a long time ago, your dream vacation use to be Ireland. We took a 2 week tour, but now I wish we could do our own driving. That will never happen because hubby is apprehensive about left lane driving. Still, I would luv to see the Ireland again...and perhaps the UK. Rockford, IL is about 275 miles from Muskegon. I am not sure that's where you live, but thought it was a good starting point. Anderson Japanese Gardens is suppose to be the top rated one in the country. BTW, I live near Crystal Falls, MI. Hi DeeAnne, I was just wrapping up for the night and going to bed when I saw your message. All the little shops and mill were together in a strip by the river. When we moved to the UP 19 years ago, we still ordered coffee by mail from them...I don't remember their name. I heard they went out of business, but don't know for sure. They used to have a coffee called Pantelin(I know I am not spelling it right). It was named after an old hotel in Rockford. As of all things, it got to be too expensive for us to buy it through the mail, so we quit...but the memory of it is sweet. I haven't spent much time on WS this year. What is with this deciphering in order to post a comment? I do have some photos of sorts(nothing spectacular-lol)that I need to post. I hope to do that this winter. Haven't gone anywhere since my week's trip last Spring...in the fog down the coast of Lake Michigan. Hope you are well. I will comment on your other thoughts on my albums later. Greetings from Alaska & Thank You so much for your visit and kind comments on my POTD featured photo. I was surprised to find the announcement in my email and all of the comments are humbling. The Eagles are so majestic and my favorite bird. Eagles are loyal birds and mate for life so when you see a big pair it is almost always male & female occasionally it will be parent and offspring. It takes many long walks and hikes alone on very cold days to find a good shot, this picture was shot with 200mm telephoto on a winter day the temperature was -5 f. “cold fingers & toes” Again Thank You & best wishes from Alaska, Dave
