  • Dear Mike, I hope all is well with you and yours. Have you been back to Glastonbury this summer? I have just entered the National Geographic photo contest with six of my shots and am letting my WS friends know. I'll give you a link to three (I believe you can search for others), and would appreciate it if you could take a look. There is a people's choice award, based on voting by the public, as well as the judges' selections. The cougar shot seems to be my top vote-getter so far. The two cats playing are next - they're my Manx rescues, Gollum and Aragorn. That shot was here on WS and recently won a best-in-show at a local photo exhibition contest. The hummingbird is one of many from my garden. But the NG competition is huge, with thousands of entries, so mine will get lost in the crowd. I just figured I might as well try, just to see if people like my work. Enjoy! ~ Brenda http://www.worldinfocuscontest.com/bin/Rate?image_id=1006807530 and http://www.worldinfocuscontest.com/bin/Rate?image_id=1006807532 and http://www.worldinfocuscontest.com/bin/Rate?image_id=1006807528

  • Hi again, yes, it was last Sunday (Easter) - I didn't have any access to the internet unfortunately - anyway there will always be another time!. I did enjoy my brief visit to Glastonbury - it was a real time-warp - what a mix of the very old, the modern and hippie culture. Loved the abbey. Didn't climb up the Tor - maybe next time. My daughter and I did a round tour from Stansted to Oxford and back then on to Surrey then Stonehenge, Salisbury and surround area, down to Lyme and along the coast then back up to Glastonbury and Bath and back to Stonehenge. Loved the countryside in Spring clothing, hated the huge traffic jam getting around London - wasted hours and hours there! ho hum! Took lots of photos but I'm not really very happy with them. Hopefully I'll get a chance soon to upload them. Take care, Vanja

  • Hi Mike, I'm planning another trip over to the Uk in April (taking my son to an admissions interview in Witney near Oxford). I haven't finalised an itinery yet but maybe this trip I may get down as far as Glastonbury - maybe, not sure yet! I'll keep in touch just in case. My daughter (15) and I are going to do a little travelling and photography. She's a keen photographer too. My son will head off straight after his interview and that will leave me with 4 days to do some sightseeing! Vanja

  • O.K.Mike, perhaps people do not believe in it. but I know that there is more between earth and heaven then we can see. I did experienced it several times. Not that i see ghost ore spirits, but i did feel love and warms from above at a time that i dint feel good, and i know it came from my died brother. And ones i had to move from a house to an other house, I set down and took farewell of the house, and cried and sudden i felt a tick warm blanket around my shoulders. For me it was the spirit of the house that comforted. me. And ones i was in meditation and i saw my father one the beach and i ask him if he was suffering as he was dieing, and he told me that he dint, that he just think about my mother that she dint know were he remained. Then i ask him if he did think about us, his children, and he sad "now", and that was so my father, dad he dint think about us. It was so clear to me as if he was there I hold these experiences with love in my heart. This are lot of words but I just wanted to told you. bey Sissy

  • Looks like it has been covered. Just open the picture you wish to enter and enter the appropriate tag for a specific challenge. It must be exactly as shown in the challenge rules. I usually capy the tag in the rules and paste it into the tag field to be sure I got it right. One letter or one space extra and the pictures will not appear in the challenge display page. Othewise, if tagged correctly there is nothing else to do. Three tagged is the limit. If you tag four then the fourth will not appear. You can delete a tag to remove a picture from the challenge.

  • Hi Mike; I know that I have not been around much of late, but I thought you would like an update and some very exciting news. Do you remember Sharon from Alaska who moved to Maui because of a call to her heart? She was buried up to her eyeballs in snow of our frigid northern state. Then, last February, I made an altar for her and everyone sent her prayers and well wishes. In less than a month, she found a way to get there and arrived on a wing and a prayer, not even knowing if she was going to be able to support herself. It has not been easy for her, struggling to eeeeeek out a living, but of course meeting many wonderful friends along the way. Late this summer, she met someone and her life has changed it's course. His name is Jacob and he is a photographer as well. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married on 7 November above the black sand beach of Waianapanapa. A few photos here, but also on Red Bubble. Aloha, and Mahalo for your blessings to her. You see? Dreams do come true. Warm wishes, Marjie http://travel.webshots.com/album/562121860BcljPR

  • Hi Mike. What a sorry tale this Matthews case is turning out to be. Poor Shannon's going to be mentally harmed for the rest of her life, poor dear! ttfn, Leslie
