Hello, dear Barbara. Thank you for your visit and kind wishes. It's nice to know you like the waterlilies. I am feeling much better, but have to be patient, as with such fractures it seems it needs a full year until we can say it is the sme like befor. Or, at least nearly the same as, of course broken is broken!! lol My wrist has healed very well, but, my knee is still not really mobile. It needs many more therapies and i have to exercise every day a lot. So of course i have less time to spend here at webshots!! lol How much would i love to hear from you also better news. Hi Barb I'm soo glad that you liked my new scraps. I uploaded them together with some "new" ladies for you, you really like them and can use it in your art work! I was busy with friends visiting from NY and my next door neighbor cat Jacinta Calico was very sick with a feline herpes virus, I took care of her, but she had to be admitted to the animal hospital. Today she will come back, I missed her alot, she spends all the days with me, she sleeps on my lap and I do anything she wants! She spends the nights in her house. A kiss and a tight hug. Kika

Hello Barbara. Thank you so much for stopping by my Fountains in Rome album and for leaving such a lovely comment. I am always so happy to hear from you. I am slowly sorting out those photos I came back from Italy with this summer. I take far too many. As I visit Rome most summers I have literally thousands of photos of the Eternal City. This year I was looking at taking 'different' shots to those I usually take, hence my early start on one of the days I went into the city. (Where I stay is at the coast in Ostia Lido which is about 20 miles away.) I started out at just before 6am and after a lift to the station, then a train and a short underground ride to the Colosseum I arrive at about 7am. It was glorious. It was cool and there were hardly any tourists about. Visiting Rome in August is NOT a good idea. Sightseeing in very hard going in the intense heat and humidity. It was the best idea I have ever had. Don't know why I've never done it before. Anyway I'm back at school now and so my time is more restricted on Webshots. I used to work with 4+ years olds but now I work with 6 year olds, which is a little easier but still very demanding. Sorry to hear about your health issues. Hello Barbara. It is so kind of you to stop by and leave a comment especially as you tell you you are not in the best of health. I am sorry to hear this and I do hope you'll soon be feeling better. We broke up from school last Friday. The children get 7 weeks holiday this year, they usually only get 6 weeks. Us the staff are getting 6 weeks and 3 days. Yipee. I shall be leaving for Italy on the 28th July and shall be away just over 3 weeks. I shall be staying just outside of Rome, at the coast and also I'll be staying in the region of Le Marche which is on the Adriatic coast. HI Barbara, I hope you are doing well. You are so kind to take the time to look at my albums and leaving me so many nice comments. Thank you so much. I'm still kind of new at this and trying to get better at taking pictures. I do enjoy it. The album with the fireworks is the first time I ever tried to take pictures of fireworks. They are not easy to capture. I am happy that I did get a few good ones with my new camera. It has a setting for taking fireworks, but it's still not easy. We spent the weekend having our 12 yrs old grandson so we did a lot to keep him busy. I will be adding more on that soon. Where do you live Barbara. Hi Barbara! Thanks for asking about my late wife Dorothy. We were married for 22 years, and than she was killed in a car accident caused by an oncoming drunken driver. This happened on Dec. 05, 1979. Things in life can be very unfair, and we are not able to understand why a loving wife and mother only gets to live 44 years. Thanks again, veel liefs, Henk.
