Hi, My name is Jennifer and I would really like to get in touch with you and ask some questions about Happy Harbor and any Knowlege you may have. A friend of mine grew up there and upon her grandparenets passing the deeds were left to the surviving family members. We would really like to visit this area but have really no clue where to start to re-search the status of the deeds since it has been years since her families return....if you could please contact me by email I would really appreciate it! We have done numerous searches and what we find of Happy Harbor is very vague to say the least. Kharma@wildblue.net

Thank for accepting my invitation. Looking forward to our friendship. I know where Kasaan is. I was born in Ketchikan and raised in Coffman Cove until my brother, who was a year older than me, was old enough to go to school. Went to school in Ketchikan, but spent summer's working at Granparent's logging camp in Coffman Cove and then Francis Cove, just south of Traitor's Cove, when the camp moved there. I worked for the FS for 15+ years... I know that sounds wierd with my background... until a car accident forced early disability retirement. My husband, a commercial troller from Port Alexander, convinced me to move out here. So... here I am... in the sticks from whenst I came... Anyway... I am very pleased to make your acquaintance! -DJ
