Hi! Thanks for stoppibng by my Suzhou album and for the kind comment. I liked Suzhou; it is pretty; it has history, and has very friendly people. It is also industrially developed, but you can easily skip that part. I have not been to Zhouzhang. Hanhzhou is a nice town, but, of late, has taken on the character of a big city. If you have not been to Xian, I would strongly recommend it for its terracotta warriors etc. I wish you a good trip. I will come back soon to see your albums. Best wishes, Suresh

Marries, thanks for your kind comments on my pics. In regards to your question on Suzhou, Zhouzhang and Hangzhou, I recommend Suzhou as I quite like seeing the water reflecting the city. The Humble Administrator's Garden was quite good, photos of which I didn't get a chance to upload - see additional pics in the next few minutes, or hours... Suzhou used to be the city known for the prettiest girls but I didn't see any! Zhouzhuang was more of a tourist precinct. I was in Hangzhou at the wrong time of the year so didn't see the best of West Lake. Feel free to ask for more info. BTW I enjoyed your lovely photos of your travels. Rosalie Louey

Hi M, sorry it took me so long to write back! Is there a better forum for this, or are "messages" the way to go? Glad to hear an insider's view of Taiwan. I'll have to add that to my next travel itinerary :o) Lately I've taken a lot of digital pictures and some are quite good (for an amateur) so I'll have to take some time to post a few to WS. Hi M, What prompted the move from South Africa to Taiwan? I live just north of Seattle. I do have a few photos I've taken of Leavenworth and Portland that I can share, but it probably won't be until next week. I don't know if I have any photos of myself but I'll try to find some :o) I've been addicted to webshots for several years and finally signed up as a "premium" member because I love living vicariously through other peoples' photos. I travelled to Spain, France, Germany and Austria in 2001 and I'm about due for another expedition, though I'm working so much right now I doubt I'll be able to take one for several months at least. Good to hear from you, and I'll definitely check out your other albums! Tara
