Hi Lorraine! Just me again. I've entered the National Geographic photo contest with eight of my shots and am letting my WS friends know. I'll give you a link to four I believe you can search for others), and would appreciate it if you could take a look. There is a people's choice award, based on voting by the public, as well as the judges' selections. The cougar shot seems to be my top vote-getter so far although perhaps not the best photo. The two cats playing are next - they're my Manx rescues, Gollum and Aragorn. That shot was here on WS and recently won a best-in-show at a local photo exhibition contest. The hummingbirds are from my garden. But the NG competition is huge, with thousands of entries, so mine will get lost in the crowd. I just figured I might as well try, to see if people like my work. Have you read the "Creative Challenge: In My Backyard" blog at http://blog.webshots.com/?p=1187 ?Chandra, Photography Goddess, mentions the Winter White Challenge, in her second post. Remember the “Winter White” Creative Challenge at http://blog.webshots.com/?p=1055 ?This is from that blog. “With the Holidays here, you have two weeks to shoot and submit your best winter white subjects. From fluffy white animals to crisp white snow, cotton sheets to white sand beaches, get creative during this extended challenge and we’ll look forward to seeing your submissions next year!” The “Creative Challenge Winners: Winter White” blog is at http://blog.webshots.com/?p=1059 .All three of the winners, were WINTER SCENICS pictures. Yet, Webshots said that anything that was Winter White COULD be entered. Had Webshots asked for Winter Scenics pictures, a lot of pictures would not have been entered. The editors could have save themselves and people, a lot of time, as well. A major problem with the Creative Challenge is that the editors either change the rules or ignore them. I have seen this problem, in other challenges as well."

Glad you liked the look of New Zealand in my winter album! I have other albums showing our country if you are interested. Yes, there is some beautiful scenery here, and you don't have to travel all that far to find something completely differnt. The only problem is getting here, as we are a long way from the UK. Where there's a will there's a way! :))

Any luck with your issue that I sent the fix for. personally I like Firefox better than IE. I find it faster to work with and open sites than IE. Only other option is to role back to IE 7. Webshots is fully aware of this issue that I gave to them. I found IE 8 to have other issues besides with Webshots and rolled back my self. You have to hunt around for the IE7 download if you want it.

I got your message. I am heading out the door, but if you look in my Help album, you will find that issue under Internet Explorer 8. IE 8 has issues with various software including Webshots. Your fix is there. Have a great day. I will check with you when I get back.
