Being with CKCK-TV for numerous years the Kool Aide Man used to visit Kiddie Land.....I believe it was close to the Trans-Canada Highway and not to far from Pasque Street south....

Hello. I am trying to find out exactly where Kiddieland and the Queen City drive in were located in Regina. I think we actually live on one these old sites but not sure. Thanks.

Thanks so much for all your help, Dan. I just got back from Indian Head on Friday, it was a lot of fun and the crew was so sweet and I got close to the set a few times, though I didn't have pics with anyone or autographs, it was fun nevertheless.

No Flyers out yet, they usually but them in your mail box. I'll let you know when I get one, Dan
said loran01
Yes, any flyers possibly stating dates (though I know when they are filming), times and locations would be great, like you did of the original shots from a year ago. Thanks again Dan! Kim

No I never did..I was more interested in taking photos than meeting the cast... Like I said before you should have no problem becoming an extra...... They usually have there own business office set up in town which is always open to the public...that is where you apply to be an extra...they can answer all your questions...they have a Public relations person on hand...Don't worry about I thing...Come and enjoy the production..If I find out any useful information ( Set Set-up dates & production dates)I will let you know Dan

I did have some other questions for you, simple ones: Did you meet the cast? Was there any sort of etiquette you followed on set? I am still nervous about going, afraid I'm going to be too shy to interrupt anyone and really would like to have my pic with the cast. Still finding out if it's even happening. Thanks again, I hope if I do I get to say hi to you Dan! Kim

Thanks so much Dan, that was what I was looking for - because I was really flying blind in this. They do an awful lot of filming out here in Vancouver too (not for LMOTP, of course), so I know that you have to respect the rules of a set - after all, it's a workplace for these folks.

Presca...The General public can watch them filming...it is best to take your shot before or after they start a segment No Flash...There are lots of People around and they will tell you where you can shot from...I knew several people on the crew from my days at CKCK-TV. That helped. They are always looking for extras, you should have no problem with that. I am sure you can meet some of the cast as well. I think CBC has a Site devoted to the Little Mosque...Try Googling that... They should be able to answer all your questions... Any more questions I will try to answer them. Dan

Hi Dan, can I ask you about your pictures of Indian Head and Little Mosque - do they allow the general public to watch them filming, take pictures and possibly meet members of the cast? I'm really wondering if I were to travel there for a mini vacation and if I can try out for an extra. Thanks Kim.

Hey Dan, thanks for the heads up on that site. I haven't got around to checking it out yet, but will before too long. When I do, I'll be sure to check out your contributions. "Snappy Rails", Ron

Hi Dan: Thanks for the Friendship invitation; much appreciated. You're the first 'railfanner' I've been able to connect with. The American ones seem to think they're the only ones on Webshots. You leave them compliments, but they don't reciprocate. Judging by their track record, it doesn't appear they comment on anyone's, yet probably expect kudos on theirs. One of them left a compliment on my first train album, but that was it. I only began photographing trains in May of '07 and wish I'd started long before. I have an X700 also, which partnered with my XD11. However when it came time for Auto Focus, I switched to Nikon, and now use Nikon D-SLRs...a D50 & D80. Time for me to go, my AVG Resident Shield is picking up threats from the site. Something is wrong somewhere. Hope to connect later. Thanks again, Ron.

Thanx for Silo information....we too suffer from the demolition ball and crane..My Webshots page is mainly dedicated to what we call here in the UK as Urban Exploration...capturing on film of any derelict buildings due for demo..I love our old power station cooling towers and victorian asylums...all going to make way for yet more houses that few can afford or even need! all the best from Stu

oh, thanks for the info on Karras, Ive met his widow here in Nipawin and had coffee with her. I think there are only the two books out, I have Face The North Wind and North To Cree Lake, I enjoyed them very much as my Dad was a pioneer trapper for 46 years.
