I looked at your Pelican shots today, and what a surprise. I always thought that they were a coastal bird. Looking on a map I saw that the Lake Nelson is close to Lake Michigan (huge lake)...so I am wondering if they are really from The Great Lakes? I am living in near Houston TX now, and this is where I saw my first Pelicans, on the beaches of Galveston. Any they fly together just like your pictures... I suppose that they take flying lessons at the same school. ; ) Thanks for the pix. Doug
